My daylilies are in full bloom now, and got out with the camera last night. Thought I would share a few pictures with all of you. Hope you enjoy!

Sorry it has taken me a while to get back and check in. I was out of town for work and just got home. Thanks so much everyone for the compliments. It makes me feel good, I must admit. I always seem to see what needs to be done, and sometimes forget to look at what it is! I will try to answer everyone's questions. Hope I don't miss any. In no particular order... The lilies in the "big" picture are almost all daylilies. The lilies in the close-up pictures I am not sure. Just some bulbs I picked up, probably at a big box store or the local garden center? Sorry I don't have their names. The rose pictured in the 4th picture is Morden Belle. There are actually 3 bushes planted in that bed. I hope that is the rose you meant? Yes, I do have the courtyard of roses and yes they are blooming. However, many of the roses on the fence were taken down this year due to RRD. I have planted bittersweet in their place. Won't be the beautiful flowers, but will provide privacy that won't get RRD. As you can see from the picture below, the fence is now pretty bare looking on the side. I have decided that I will try to keep the roses on the fence across the end and around the corner. The need for privacy there is not so great, as the Wine and Roses weigela in the island bed does screen most of the garden from that end. Again, thank you everyone! Just wonderful to see new ones in bloom, isn't it? I love Sp. Sea Shells every time I see it. The green on the second Paul Owen seedling really looks nice. A guy at work wanted a green daylily and I told him that most are yellow with a greenish cast. Well, this one appears to be as close to green as I've seen. Vickie

Julia Mariska seems to be doing ok, her substance on her flowers is thin, though. A little bit of water and she melts away, and starts to melt away in the afternoon. Stormy Monday made it through the winter great. Most of my daylilies were new last year, with a few new ones this year, and most made it through the winter with no problems. I lost a couple and a few struggled to get going this spring, but Stormy Monday had no problems at all. Sharons2 I have both Dragon's Eye and Little Red Dragon, and to be honest, I don't see much difference between the two flowers. Both are too new for me to judge quite yet, but I think Dragon's Eye puts out more blooms. They both look great to me, but I actually prefer Dragon's Eye. Oh, my! Yes, please list varieties. My favorite is the double peach, fourth one down. And the one above it. And the one below it. Oh, and the first one. (Can you tell I love your daylilies?)

Something about the last photo evoked the South for me. But then I looked at your zone and realized I'm way off with that guess.

I like the apricot/peach ones the bestest...
& the yellow with a rose-colored splash;

Sorry I haven't gotten back sooner. Was a hectic day at work and then was out in the garden until dark.

1. Swirling Water
2. Flame Burst ??
3. Papillion
4. Peach Magnolia ??
5. ??
6. Fooled Me

Sorry I can't be sure with a couple of them. I did have them all tagged, but the tags have gotten lost over the past years. I have taken pictures of most blooms and identified them but the colors this year are somewhat different. Not sure why, maybe the cool weather?

I always love seeing your daylily bed. I love all the colors. I'm a crayola girl. I like all colors.

Mine didn't do very well this year, even the native ones. They bloomed, but the blooms were smaller and there were fewer of them. The hybrids were also not so colorful as they normally would have been. It was too hot and too dry. I think they got stressed out. Now that it is cooler and we've had a few showers, everything is looking better. I am going to clean out their beds, feed them and mulch, and see if they bounce back for me.

lu, I can't believe it. I have been eying your fourth dl in the neighbor's garden. I want one, but she doesn't label or record her purchases, so doesn't know what it is. Do you?
Love your dl garden,I have become smitten by several different plants and dl's are one.
