Care for first year grafts

I have had past sucess and failures with grafts making it though to the next year. Maples, Pines, Spruce etc. In the fall I would bring the 1st year grafts into my greenhouse and keep until next spring. The GH temp is around 50 degrees F. Realize that this may not be the best for the conifers. I now have a few WB grafts that have been sucessfull so far into October (in past these same grafts have failed) and want take all the correct steps so they make it into the spring. I am zone 6 and these are WB from a picea abies pendula.

So do I bring in the GH and try to find or create a cooler spot in the GH or do I leave outside exposed to the elements, maybe placing in a protected spot at base of the GH. Or should I get to work and create a small cold frame. Thanks Mike
