Didn't take long for my 5 gallon pots to outgrow the 20 x 60 deer proof compound. Luckily, after putting about 3/4 of them outside the compound, and at the mercy of the deer, nothing has been chewing on the leaves since the first attack about 8 weeks ago, when they ate the leaves off over 100 young trees. My theory is that the deer only go for young, tender leaves. They are still eating the new growth on the blackberry bushes at the creek but they are leaving my fig trees alone. FF
