Peony Identification Pls

Hello, I recently moved to an acreage in GP and am wondering what several plants/shrubs/trees are. I gardened in Zone 8a for the past 20 years, so I'm on a bit of a learning curve. I'm studying Lois Hole but still have some questions. Do you know what cultivar of peony this is? It's a single pink blossom and quite lovely.

I am wondering if these are fern leaf peonies? They are indeed very lovely. Can you take some close-up shots please?

That looks a lot like Dancing Butterflies, but hard to say without closeups. I'm not an expert either. Search for that name and see if you think that might be it.

As this is a tree peony you might actually be able find the same one on display at a local independent garden center of some size at this time - particularly if this plant was purchased and planted comparatively recently. Otherwise look at web sites or books about peonies, keeping in mind that a similar one needs to seem an exact match before it can be safely concluded it is in fact the same - pertinent details mentioned in written descriptions should always be employed whenever possible.

Sorry, there are thousands of varieties of named peonies and probably way more than that of unregistered seedlings, makes it really hard to be 100% sure with NOIDs. I'd start with determining some other things about your plant--size, whether it's fragrant or not and take pictures of the foliage as well. You also need to determine when it blooms in the peony season--early, mid or late. The University of Michigan has a historic peony garden and has pictures of several hundred historic varieties, you might want to start there to see if you can match it. Looks like a fernleaf to me. They are early bloomers and usually the first ones up in the spring. Well established fernleaf peonies will form a very nice bush that is long lived. Native peony, they come up looking like a Dr Suess character from " If I Ran The Zoo" IMO. They like old dirt too..... :)

Thx for your comments. Although the blooms look somewhat like Dancing Butterflies, I think the foliage (and flowers) look more like a fern leaf. The peony is blooming well ahead of the other peonies in the garden. Thank you for your help.
