no, its not tho..Believe me I have them all over my yard and its not Rudbeckia Hirta Indian Summer. These flowers are small and NOT darker in the middle as the Indian Summers are. But I went out and measured and I was wrong about the flower size, they are only 1" across. Here are two more pics, one of the other side of the plant, and a close up of some flowers. I have no doubt that it is in the Rudbeckia family, but its a bush...not at all like my Black-Eyed Susans. It's not like I cut it back and it just went crazy and sprouted a million flowers, I havent cut it at all. What's really stumping me is that it's more like a bush..this is one whole big plant and only has one main stem.

Good job getting it in the ball park Sherry (and "green" is your color). It looks like it is an Evenus (Thecla), but could be one of several species that are very similar. Hard not to love the Neotropic leps isn't it? Sapodilla and eggfruit are possible larval food plants, but there would be others. Siam, if you picked up some books you might look up E. coronata as Sherry suggested, and E. regalis, E. candidus, E. gabriela and maybe E. batesii for starters. If you don't find it there try the Lamasina genus as another possibility. Great find, Larry

4 looks like picea abies 'pendula' ... at least theat the name i know it under ... what we dont know.. is if any of them will have a winter color.. such as #2 ... if so.. report back .. it could be aurea.. or gold coin.. though i see no hint of such... same with 3 .. and 1 ... ken
