Here's an odd one for you.....

You know me, I'm always trying to make my environment cooler in the summer. A lot of my property is surrounded by an 8' cedar fence. Someone made a comment recently during a discussion about burned up plants that all that fence surface probably radiates a lot of heat towards the trees close by. And I think they may be right.

So my question is this. Do you think painting or staining the fence a different color other than the weathered natural grey color it is today, would help to keep close proximity trees from getting quite so much radiated heat?

And if so, what color?
