WANTED: Your Most Wanted

I was out cleaning out the garden today and was thinking about getting rid of a few things. How about we start a most wanted "wish list" here so maybe we can make someone else's day?

I've pretty much got way too many plants for my way too small yard but I have been lusting after one of those orange-leaved bromeliads. So what do you really want? :)

when and where will the next swap be?

I am lusting for a LC Bonanza Tradewinds orchid, even though I probably will never be able to get one again. Many years ago a lady from South Florida gave me a cutting, and it did well for the longest time, until something happend and I lost this plant, seemed like over night. :-/

got your email nogmo, thank you, these lists make me want to look up more and see what is out there.I think my mom will kill me if i put more flowers in her garden. :') Maybe i can get some she will like then i won't get into to much trouble, LOL I really do like those one's with more different colors in them though. The lady slipper balsams have finally ripened up. Out goes alot of bubblers tomarow. I will keep checking to see what is new, I also have some white, pink cypress vine seeds. *tabor*

Are you still looking for cannas? I have the tall yellow which I think are "Richard Wallace", and some burg. leaf cannas possibly "Wyoming", and shorter red cannas with smaller blooms. Will take postage & 1 'orange beauty'. LMK

I'm with Debra. I'm really out of space right now. But here's 10 that I'd like to have anyway - just don't mention it to my DH. Many are older varieties that I just can't seem to get from the growers I've ordered from: Antique Rose Borders On Pink Chicago Candy Cane Christopher Russell Comic Strip Georgia O'Keefe Heavenly Angel Ice Iron Eyes Rainbow Over Georgia Hold Your Horses. I have seen both Heavenly Angel Ice and Hold Your Horses In Person. Both are just beautiful daylilies. HAI is very white and has the prettiest ruffles on a UFO that you've ever seen. Hold Your Horses is just plain awesome. The flower is huge, and held up high on the plant. It's a plant that you notice from a distance, and you have to walk over to it to take a closer look. Hopefully my hybridizer friends who are growing both plants will get some good increase and I will be able to add both plants to my garden next spring! Linda

Wow - that is a stunning plant! I'd love to grow one, too. They must be awfully finicky. Kind of like Mikey, my cat. Won't eat anything but wet food, unless he KNOWS there's chicken in the fridge - then he won't eat his wet food, either. Rotten cat. Add to my want list: corkscrew vine - has anyone grown this from seed? MG 'Good Morning Violet' Rubber vine (cryptostezia madascariensis) Chilean glory flower Purple coral pea I was perusing Patricks Studio and noticed they had several MG's I've not heard of, but maybe you have and can tell me if you grow them, are they easy, etc. I. Anything that grows in shade.

I'll be announceing our next swap in a month or two, as soon as we figure out our spring travel schedule.

Somehow I managed to kill both my white and black bat plants so I need to replace them. I want to try Mucuna bennettii, red jade vine. Schoemburkia orchids too. And, of course any heliconia or ginger I do not have. I have that Aechmea too, in case Ricky finds he cannot part with one, I definetely can.

Ohhhhhhhh Ricky!!!!!!! I would love to! When's good for you? I usually have to be at work (in Plantation) by 12:30. If that doesn't work I can come on the weekend. Thank you sooooo much!
