If you put fresh picked plumerias in cold water for several hours and then put in a plastic bag, blown up with a straw and sealed, and left overnight, your flowers will last the longest. Some waxy flowers, Celadine, Mele Pa Bowman, Nebels rainbow, have an excellent keeping quality. K.Sunb. is not bad- in the very good level. The problem will be to find flowers at that time of the year. celadines are easy to find because of the smell and keeping quality there are orchards of them for the lei businesses. The more exotics are much harder to find and many do not start flowering until July. Texas, Florida and Hawaii are earlier areas to flower but you will probably need to find a source in the islands because you need to get the flowers the day before the wedding as they will wilt the second or third day based on the quality of the flowers. You may try to find someone in Hawaii on the island you are getting married on who has a mature plant since you only need a dozen or so flowers. Ok... I'll answer your questions for a cutting... lol... just kidding... ok, once calloused, dip the end in rooting hormone and plant in a pot filled with well draining soil... I use cactus mix and perlite... some use vermiculite... your choice... well, where you put them depends on your weather... what are your daytime and nightime temps doing... if your night temps are above 50 and your day temps are above 70, and you have a place where they won't get too wet, then outside is good... to encourage bottom heat a lot of us place the plumeria on concrete... conducts more heat... no mist, it may keep them too moist... after planting water once and wait until the little leaves start to grow... also, I'd trim the big leaves, leaving the claw leaves the way they are... you don't yank them off, just clip them leaving a little stub...the stub will dry and fall off on its own... I think it applies to all types because the large leaves will suck the energy out of the cutting... Hope some of this helps... there are many other helpful people that will hopefully chime in... Here in St. Pete, my Rubras and Obtusa are looking poor due to a "cold snap" down into the 60's a few weeks ago. It will be spring before they show new leaves and early summer before they are in full foliage. OTOH I have a Pudica that has yet to have a single leaf turn yellow and it is still pumping out new inflos. Everyone that sees it makes a remark about it. I think it is definitely a plant worth having in your collection.

LOL I get it E. Tamela will have to buy more edging because no doubt her collection will grow. Very nice. Lots of sun to soak up. Have you looked into a pop up greenhouse which may help you start the season a month earlier and end it a month later. During warm days and chilly nights all you have to do is close it up during the later part of the day and then it will retain about 10 degrees of difference with the ambient air temps. it may be worth the look.
