I have not received mine either. I ordered 5 or 6 varieties last summer. I sent postage and a copy of the acknowledgement too. Keeping the faith that they will ship!

I ordered Yellow brown Greek fig cuttings from Jon at Encanto. All I can say is HE sent beautiful healthy very nice cuttings and sent them out immediately. Between sending him the Loot and my receiving them, It was about a week. From California to Pennsylvania, Brilliant, I hope he offers good cuttings again, I will jump on that wagon quickly. Sorry i haven't dealt with the UCD. Ciao

I'm still waiting to hear about mine too. The last I heard from them, they asked for a Federal Express account number, which I gave them. I'm so excited. This is the first time I've ordered fig cuttings.

Just got a FedEx email of a shipping trk# from UCD today.
Had supplied both a new FedEx account (plus the preferred
USPS stamps) as a shipment payment. Guess I will be paying
a double ship-whammy for my cuttings. Ok, if I just get
at least 1 cutting that I have been requesting for a while
(aka San Pietro)...

I sent stamps, (no FedEx account), received via FedEx no charge.

UCD must be afloat in $9 stamps.

Did any one receive the package via (Priority Mail) USPS,

I know that Georgie. But what are they doing with all the $9 stamps. Does USPS give refunds? Seems a shame to waste all those stamps.

I ordered some plum, but never got around to sending my priority mail stamp. Maybe its not too late. I don't know if they will not send them without the postage, but even if they don't I think I'll send them a couple of stamps anyway ... when I get to it.

I rarely go to the post office or send mail. Its just not part of my routine.

I sent enough postage for two boxes and instructed them to use any extra (if mine fit in a single box) to send cuttings to someone else. Like George, I roll my unfulfilled requests over to the next order. The list has gotten to be long. Perhaps it was just wishful thinking to believe I might get two boxes worth (all the old requests) of cuttings. Since it is likely what is available of my order will fit in a standard letter envelope, perhaps they'll use the extra postage to send yours.

I suggest people do NOT phone or email UC Davis until well after the last shipping date, maybe not before April. If they are inundated with calls and emails from anxious people who have heard (via internet groups) that "some people" have already received their cuttings, there will be further disincentive for them to continue their program. That would be the worst possible outcome, far worse than some people receiving their cuttings later than others.

Yes, I'm anxiously biding my time. I figure they are busy enough packing and shipping. They don't need to be harassed too. I planned to wait until April if I even contact them at all.

Thanks James for the sentiment. That was similar to my idea as well. I intend to send them a couple of stamps even though I only requested 2 or 3 scions. Even if they don't send my order at all this year, I won't begrudge them.

They sent me cuttings last year for no charge.

My request date was November 21, so maybe cuttings are being sent out by request date.

I did get 100% of my stuff yesterday. Like, James, I also
sent 2x USPS stamps, with very specific instructions to
donate any unused funds to other applicants/general-UCD-use,
as deemed best.

Have to say that Bruce Bartlett over at Corvallis is super. I have received several items from them in the past and traded emails back and forth. Guess they don't get hit as much as Davis but is really nice knowing someone is on the other end.

I got my cuttings today!!! I thought I was out of luck since I didn't include a Fed Ex #, but they shipped the cuttings anyway. This made my week! (I placed my order right near the deadline, so I am probably one of the last on the list...)

UC Davis cuttings showed up toady in fine shape. Ordered in mid November. They did such a fine job.

I don't think there is any rhyme or reason on when you get your order other than maybe the further they have to walk to get to your varieties the longer the wait ;-)

Yippee!! I got my cuttings today - 3/20. The only one I didn't receive was the Verte. The plant was too small to take cuttings.

My only concern at this point for those of us who haven't received UCD cuttings is that the trees in Sacramanto are probably no longer dorment. Is this going to be a problem? Will UCD send cuttings if the trees are leafing out?
