Those of you who use cut flowers/vases

I rarely cut flowers out of my garden for home vase arrangements. However, with all this rain, my shastas and several others are laying all over the place, and need to be rescued.

My question is about coreopsis. Are they good as cut flowers, too? I have early sunrise, and the plants have been devastated by the rain, but the blooms are ok.

Sorry for the stupid question; I'm a vase newbie, and can't say I've ever seen coreopsis in a vase. If they won't make it, then I'll just leave them pretty laying on the ground :(
