For those who like garden photos....

My dl's are not at peak bloom yet, but I took some over all shots of my gardens today and thought some of you might enjoy them. Several had requested that I post some. I'll take more when the dl's peak. Here's a couple to whet your appetite, but I'll post a link to my Garden album rather than burden those on dial up with so many large files.

Very nice gardens and well manicured too. Nice large roaming place for Lillie. I like the way your trees frame the garden. Is that a magnolia tree on the right?

This is the thread that enabled me to buying some crested, damask and moss roses. I bought Leda, Nuits de Yong, Cresida and Bella Donna. They are still in pots, but most had nice blooms. This is Bella Donna This is a bud on Nuits de Young My First Leda Bloom and some buds. The buds did suffer a bit in some late cold weather which caused the blooms to be a bit deformed. But they were still pretty and have a great fragrance.

Oh My Goodness, DeeJaus....guess where I've been since my last post on this side of the Deco Board; At the link you provided and loving it and going back for more! Beautiful gardens and so much inspiration! From the couple of the links I clicked on the side, I noticed there was nothing overdone, nothing gawdy....just really natural, soothing gardens. In fact, there is one there that shows what the older couple did to the front of their home and I'm saving that to show hubby when he gets home from work. We want to eliminate as much lawn as we can (Southern Calif. here and we will get 'dinged' with a fine if we use too much water or ticketed if we water on non-watering days/hours). Thank you so much for sharing that site....I'm now going back to look/drool at it some more.

Pretty room, very pretty. We changed out for sectional sofa around mid January. Ours is microfiber as well. It has a tweed texture but just texture, solid in color (graphite, I think is the color's name). I want to say that even if it should fall apart tomorrow, one great thing. Our cat vomited on it, food, hair and everything and it wiped right up. Not so easy when the dog ruptured her "glands" on the new hardwood floors and oriental (less than a week old) rug yesterday. We had flooding about 3 weeks ago and they just got our floors re done and dog decided it needed surgery during the night and performed her own on our floors and rugs. Yep, there's still smoking coming from my ears.

I'm glad you posted this! Very often someone will mention a recipe here and next thing you know someone posts a recipe that they say they make and it's obvious its from an internet site. No mention of the original or credit given to them. A gal up the street from me put a recipe on her blog that came from the Food Network website. Innocent enough so she thought. She got an email from the network asking to see the permission she had to post it. Of course she didn't have it and they made her remove it. I think people just think if its on the internet its theirs for the taking and that's just not so.

I LOVE your garden, but the prettiest flower in it is Lilly.
I have a Gizmo who loves to go out and follow me around begging for attention, like he never gets any. Maybe he is just telling me how pretty the flowers are. He looks for a frog he saw last year, but I think froggy high tailed it. Thanks for posting, I'm so busy right now I hardly have time to post much. But for your amusement, here is God Save the Queen.

Linda...thanks, and peak bloom photos will be forth coming, I hope. LOL

Dot...Lillie loves to hide in my dl's. I think she can surprise the little critters who try to move in that way. I'm having way to many chipmunks tunneling in my garden lately so maybe she'll scare some away. Love your pic of GSTQ, it's a beautiful dl.

Jan, I loved browsing through all your photos...thank you! For the life of me, I can't figure out how you take care of all of it by yourself. Just mowing must be an all day chore. You've done a fantastic job!

Jan, your property is to beautiful! I can't imagine how hard you work to maintain 3 acres. Everything always looks so neat and well-maintained. Daylilies are already looking good. Can't wait for your peak bloom season.

Your garden is spectacular. I love the split rail fence with the roses on it. So wonderful to look out and see trees instead of houses and cars.

Lillie is a cutie and I just loved the pictures around the garden. Your pond and Japanese Iris are gorgous. I just envy you all that room. You have done such a great job with it all.
