Ficus Petite Negra Dwarf

I am looking through catalogs, planning a new garden on the Florida panhandle Gulf Coast. Park Seeds shows a dwarf fig that looks interesting. It is black skinned with a deep reddish flesh. They say that it bears two crops in zones 7-10. I have no experience with figs other than enjoying the eating of them and now have the opportunity to put them in my new garden. The lot size is the usual smallish suburban lot and located in prime hurricane country. I don't want tall trees anywhere near the house. Dwarf fruit seems the ideal answer. Does anyone have experience with this variety?
