Planting 2 Trees in 1 Hole

Has anyone out there tried to plant two fig trees in one hole? I've got a small crowded backyard. Wish I had at least an acre.

From advice that I've got from nurseries that sell fruit trees, this is a way to plant multiple varieties in a limited space. Also, it's suppose to have a growth reduction effect on the height and spread of the mature trees. I'm thinking about putting a Janice Seedless Kadota and a Mission tree in the same planting hole. These trees are both pretty vigorous growers. Anyone done multiple plantings of fig trees in the same hole? How do the trees grow?
