Rain, Rain, Go away.....

I'm trying to be patient.........I know it is gardening lesson 101, but the rain seems endless and my spring chores are starting to feel unmanageable!
Working in that soppy soil is a big no no.
The only time the sun seems able to make an appearance is when I have to be at work!!!!!!! Aw, retirement.....how I would love thee right about now....unfortunately the bill collectors would think differently.
I need some sun to bring me back to reality....I need to learn the 'sun dance'.......
I guess the bright side is, it isn't snowing!!! Touch wood when I say that!
Thnks for letting me vent!

It isn't snowing, you don't have earthquake or tornado warnings - it's all good. The sun will come!!

Yes.....I do believe my 'sundance' finally worked and I'm so thankful we don't have earthquakes or tornadoes but once in a blue moon!

Oh, Anneliese, that smarts! Joann has to negotiate a steep section of the goat area to lock them up st night and let them out in the morning. they are rambunctious goats with horns; I am always glad when I see her coming back down -and I do watch. As far as rain; we had lots of it, not breaking the drought, but alleviating much of it's effects, today is the last day of showers fr a while, we shall hit the upper seventies/lower eighties next week -

I am happy for the rain! I have added some plants to my yard though. Several Rhodedendron's 2 wild ones, like those up in the mountains growing wild, with Large leaves, and get tree sized. They are local, but if you want to buy them, they are AT LEAST $35.00. If you try and dig one up in fall, they are free, but you get a small tree, with small root system, that is TINY for -ever! Or you fork over the $35.00 plus shipping $40.00 + for a 2 ft shrub, and be happy you got it at that size, and the price is fine once you realize you have a decent size shrub/tree for the price. I also got some cheap Rhodies at Lowes. Cheap but beautiful anyway's.

Gosh, I'm not the only one eh? I've got most of mine under the eaves of my house, so they don't get too much rainwater, but just moved the last of them waaaay under. It was raining like mad last night & tonight looks like more of the same. Mine love rainwater, but too much of a good thing, just aint -___- It could well be because I rarely water, lol. All those without roots have been brought inside as well, where they'll stay till threat is over. I know aeoniums are supposed to be dormant right now, but mine look like they're just doing their thing. They must be responding to the cool-ish weather =)

I managed to get a few things planted yesterday. Today it's pouring rain on and off, causing us to remain in our car, along with others, at one nursery until it ebbed. Die-hard gardeners weren't going to let some water keep them away. ha.

Everyone was mowing yesterday too while I planted. I should have gone back out even tho it was late and mowed too because now it's soaking out there and the grass is high.

It does make weeding easier in most places, gotta watch plant roots don't come up with them too though.
