Hope you don't mind another rose '?'

I've been lurking on the Rose forum, but really couldn't find the information I was looking for. Also I have never grown roses before (except the wild ones, and they pretty much grow themselves), and I am more comfortable asking newbie questions with you guys.

I have a trellis with a middle area that is 4 feet by 5 feet(1.3 meters wide and 1.6 meters high)and made with 2x2's going across and 1x2's going vertical. The posts holding up the trellis are 6x6 railroad ties that are buried below the frost line. (picture is posted in the Gallery as "Stumpie's Trellis")

I would like to attempt a climbing rose there. The area gets about 4 hours of full sun in the middle of the afternoon. The three roses that I'm thinking about are John Davis(3), Prairie Princess(4?), and Dr. Harry Upshall(3).

Is my trellis strong enough for any of these roses? Do I get enough sun for a rose to bloom properly? Can I leave any of these roses up for winter? Can I train them on wires over the doorways on either side of the trellis, or would it be a better idea to prune them to size on the single trellis.

It is such a pleasure to ask advice from so many great gardeners. Thank you in advance.
