Lasagna Border, Part II

Last Fall, I began an ambitious project to create a perennial border along the front of my property, on the side which is 168 feet. I intend eventually to put a split rail fence on the road side of it.

Here is my blank slate.

And here is my opus, thus far!!

I have put flowering shrubs, roses, etc. every 12 feet. I WS'd lots of poppies in Part I. I put the tulips in, as well as 2 peonies (one died :( ), some oriental/asian lilies. I have seeded heavily in the new part, and into the 'old' bit. I put mixed cleome, cosmos, sweet william, coreopsis, calendula, 2 kinds of asters, purple allysum, Ammi Majus,Anise, and calliopsis. I also put some echinacea plants in there.

I'll keep you posted on my progress.

Nancy.
