First, the FFOs for the last few days...

Barn Owl (oh, I love this one, of course, watermarked and bluish)

All right, is it just me, or do these two look almost IDENTICAL??? What's the deal?

Seedling 004 - Green throat is really stepping up the intensity! The yellow throat looks like it is weirdly airbrushed on top of the other color, it is opaque...

After all day in full sun, the self color fades, but the throat/eyezone does not... makes for this intense yellow throat...weird

Hi toni!!!! I think you are right! I have been noticing the leaves looking limp on the cordy, and it never occured to me to check for mites!!!! I thought they were like that because of a transplant 2 weeks ago..Shoot, I will look tommorrow..Thankyou All of the plants were aquired all over the place through the years....Some at Logees, and some at Mahonies, even some at Home Depot..Yup. Home Depot..lol. Of course the ones that I wanted to save...;lol My last visit to Logees aquired me a couple of camellia plants and a blood orange about 5 inches high and already in bloom..Also meeting a couple of nice garden forum members.. Wish you could see this place..I owe you some pics and need to ask you for a few suggestions later.. Thankyou for you compliment, it means alot coming from you..:-) Hugs, Mike

For all those that urinate on their plants, it really pisses me off! Oh my Mercie!!lol Don't do that for fear you might get caught with your pants down. I have a couple of things you can do easier than that. Just do an Indian dance for rain every other day since rains pH is perfect and they will do fine. It has worked for me. Now I can't get it to stop raining..lol You should see how nice and green mine are now. Josh is right Merciepoo:-) Or, I should of told you that a long time ago that vinegar used correctly can enrich the color of your trees so much. You remember when mine use to be yellow? Using a capful of vinegar in my water has kept them a rich green for years. It naturally lowers the pH solution being applied to your acid loving plants and plants, well you can appreciate this, especially GARDENIA react very well to it. Mike

I went to Daylily manor's website, and they have some great deals! They even have peppermint pinwheel, which ive been dying to have, but its still $50. But that is the cheapest ive ever seen a double fan of that one sell for. I had to save the website under my favorites list LOL! That pic was a FFO on a new plant last year, Mildred was the only plant that was new to me that bloomed perfectly, and rebloomed the first year. So far im pretty impressed. I did cross her with some other flowers, but I just dab, and don't label any of the pods, so some of my seedlings may be her babies! At least I hope so. This is my first time trying to bloom my own crosses. I just have all my seedlings planted in a huge pot, and we will see what comes out of them. Im not real serious about it, just playing around to see what I can come up with. Who knows, they may all turn out ugly! Im just keeping my fingers crossed that some of them actually bloom this year. I planted them last summer, so I don't know we'll see! -Jessica

Thanks all for the compliments. The Undivided Heart Seedlings are amazing. I still have 3 more from this cross that haven't even sent up a scape. Not sure if they are going to be lates or if I will just have to wait another year. Rita - It is good to be back. I so missed everyone and seeing their daylilies and garden shots. Mantis - the Golden Throne seedling is a first year 3-way branching with 9 buds. The first bloom got caught up with that edge but each one since then has greeted me wide open every morning by 7 am. (and it held up thru the 5 min down pours we have been having.) Vickie - Usually a white piece of paper (even if I have to have it in the shot) gets me the correct color. But, not that seedling. I sure wish I could capture the color it is amazing.

Ok, I have looked three times and I like them all --GREAT photography. I love the veins in Caribbean Twilight Time. Hi Ho Silver seems highly unusual to me with the bitone and watermark - maybe I am just so new to this daylily addiction that I haven't seen this before. I really like the color on Half Moon Key, but the color of Shores of Time is nothing like that of the hybridizer. I have a couple of scapes on my Shores of Time so I will be interested to see what its color is in my garden. All the seedlings are very nice, but I love the soft pink on seedling 001. Ok, you have done nothing to help me with my addiction. My want list keeps getting longer! Please keep posting your pictures - I enjoy them so much.

My goodness this is some fantastic photography!!! So, so pretty!! Looking at everyones seedlings makes me want to try it sooooooo bad. Gotta go read up and get started doing it myself. I want Shores Of Time so, so bad!!! Have you had yours very long and do you remember where you purchased it? Thanks, Judy

I don't know how I missed this thread before, but you are really doing great at the photography! Wonderful pictures. But your daylilies are even surpassing your photography! They look great, especially nice clump of Hi Ho Silver! And thanks for bringing GE 6035 to my attention. It looks very happy!

I really like Seedling 003. And I always love seeing Shores of Time and Navy Blues. Can't wait for mine to bloom! Hi Ho Silver is quite the beauty in your garden. It's very different looking. Clothed In Glory and Hollywood Lights do show a certain resemblance, don't they?

Ann, Hi Ho Silver is pretty unusual - I have not really seen too many bi-tones that have watermarks too. P.S. It is my PLEASURE to help you addiction along. :o)

I have only had Shores of Time since last fall, and this is her first bloom... so I think she will get pinker. I got it from the Lily Auction from OldRep - he also sent along a nice bonus of the Red Eyed Fantasy pictured above.

Thanks Ed... they do shine all by themselves, don't they. :o) There are a few more of those seedlings with scapes... stay tuned...

I am really liking seedling 003 too... but, I adore bi-tones.

Thanks Debra, I really like Hi Ho Silver... when I saw it, I knew I wanted it bad! The scapes are HUGE... I am hoping it has some rebloom this year... I can't wait for yours to bloom either, because I LOVE your pictures.

Thanks ladies!! Missy, I just use a digital point and shoot by Sony. I just made sure when I bought it, it had a decent optical zoom and a super macro on it.

Juliet - all I can hope for is to make YOU put some on your wish list! THEN we'll be even. :o)
