I ordered two sets of cuttings and when they got here most had roots forming. Some had roots almost 1/4" long. I put them in an old icecream bucket outside in the shade and put a plastic container over it. Now the bucket is full of roots. Need to seperate today. So far have 100% of them rooted. Very easy to root and fast growers. If the fruit is as hardy as the cutting I think we will be very pleased.

Frank, It's hard to say with the scant details he/she gave. I would be careful with that ad since they do not give a name/type or even say the photo is of the variety they are selling. All they are obligated to prove is that they sold you a 1 foot plant that produces large, green figs. Lots of those around. Good luck.

Hoosier My personal observations in our yard. There is more than 1 strain of FMV such as the one from UcDavis(documented) called Ischia Black which displays a cocktall of fmv strains including mottling , spotting and deformed leaves. In our yard i have seen FMV display on plants only to hide, then display following season. FMV is said to travel slowly as well in plants and will diisplay normal leaves such as some of yours and see this quite often in our yard. Mottling is actual bubbling on the leaf , the spotting seen in your 2nd picture is fmv also. As a note none of ours never had mites. Hope this helps.
