Trade Fig Cuttings

I would like to trade some of the many fig tree cuttings that I have for interesting varieties.

I am unsure of the variety of fig, since my wife got it for me as a gift a few years ago. It bears purple-black sweet fruit about the size of...maybe two golf balls. Fast growing.

I had it potted for about two years (I live in RI), but I decided to let it spread out in-ground. It's been in the ground for two winters, and it has thrived. I protect it with leaf bags and plastic, and that has been all that's necessary with winter low's around zero degrees F.

I have many healthy scions in the fridge that I could mail in exchange. I would especially be interested in greenish varieties, but I am open to anything.

Geoff, send me an e-mail, I'm up for some trading. 2 golf balls? Is the eye open or closed? What color is the interior of the fruit and is there a cavity in the center of the fruit?

Again, I have good rooted starts of Desert King and a 'Gurneys' dwf.fig' has dark brown figs, Conadria and Violet De Bordeaux cuttings. Looking for some other types that do well in cooler coastal areas in trade, or possibly some Perlette Grape Cuttings.

Hi I love figs and just finished reading the Fig forum --which inspired me to drop you a note. Is anyone interested in trading fig cuttings? I tried rooting some a few years ago and was not very successful, but now I feel I did not try hard enough. I placed a cutting of my Honey Fig in a pot last year and it grew! I was amazed.
