I still have native Texas Salvia coccinea seed (red tropical sage, scarlet sage) 24" to 30" high. It's taller than Lady in Red and the hummingbirds love it! Very easy to grow as an annual blooms from end of June till frost.

Salvia coccinea (Texas Native Scarlet Hummingbird Sage) 24"Â30" High, 18Â24" Wide, Full Sun, Rich Soil

- Sow seed early to mid March on top of moist soil - light helps germination. Seed germinates in 10 days

- Start at least 12 plants, after last frost plant outside grouped in a large area leaving 20" between plants

- Deadhead to encourage more flowering throughout summer and harvest seeds for next year in September

- Hummingbirds can see a large patch of red flowers from a ½ mile away.
