Lady Slippers and a few other spring blooms

When my husband and I built our home we decided to leave the forest floor for our back yard. There is only a very small strip from where the earth was moved to excavate for the foundation in which we put down sand for the children.

The five Pink Lady Slipper Orchids we have back there remind me every spring what good decision that was. I love my little gifts from mother nature. I check on them every single day when they're in bloom.

And here are a few more spring blooms.

Columbine 'Winky Double'

Blue Eyed Grass, Sea Pink, White English Daisies and the little Petunia I grew from seed. I am quite proud of it. Actually grew about forty petunias. This was just the first to bloom. They all did so well much easier then I would have thought.

A new planter I put together this spring. Not so much spring blooms, I realize.

Begonia 'Nonstop White, Nonstop Mocca Pink, Fuchsia 'Ernie', Bacopa 'Scopia Gulliver White' and Corkscrew Rush.

I hope you enjoy,

Carrie
