Nice job on the closeups...but looking at those dandelions about to blow all over the yard is just making me itchy to pluck them.....lol.

Cheryl, I see humour in those photos. The first one reminds me of some odd hair fashion show -- a mohawk hairdo. The third reminds me of one of the funny looking french chickens (feathers all over).

Over in my area - antiherbicide laws prevail and so lawn companies can no longer control weeds with chemicals. While that is good environmentally , on the con side various weeds from thistles, ragweed and dandelions are very unsightly and my daughter's asthma attacks have increased.

The photographs are fantastic. Doesn't change my view of dandelions growing in my yard through. They are still noxious weeds to be gotten rid of.

I like the third one best - the yellow glow in the background is very appropriate!

The best dandelion show I've seen is the neighbour up the street's neglected front lawn. In early spring it was a carpet of dandelions just as their overgrown forsythia shrubs were abundantly in bloom! It just glowed... Mind you, now there is copious amounts of fluff floating around the neighbourhood... :-(

Oh I know that dandelions are the nemesis for A LOT of gardeners all over but with over two acres of lawn I've had to learn to at least tolerate them... otherwise I'd go broke trying to get rid of them all!! Like my neighbor's husband does... every year he sprays and sprays and sprays and then digs... to get every last dandelion and bug and all other weeds.. guess that comes from him being a retired golf course greensman! LOL. On the other hand I don't really care about whether they're there or not.. my husband doesn't like the weeds in the lawn as we not only have dandelions but plantain, creeping charlie, white clover, lamium... etc. the way I look at it is if it's green it's better than dirt which is what we had when we first moved in. There are a few "weeds" that I like to have in the "lawn" because they attract honey bees.. especially the white clover... as well as other insects.

Oh, and just to let y'all know those nasty dandelion seeds don't blow onto our neighbor's yard from our's because the prevailing winds blow from their yard to ours.. :D

Thanks for the comments on the photos though... as that was the main reason for taking them. I am into photography as well as other things.
