Great blooms my favorite is Hillbilly Heart and of course your Garden helper takes the number one spot.

Well, I always struggle deciding if I'm choosing a favorite daylily or a favorite photo. I like the picture of your seedling with the spiderwort and the other yellow daylily. Very pretty.

Wedding Gown is a great daylily once it gets started, the first few blooms don't like to open. It would probably like it better farther south, but once it gets going, its beautiful here. The purple is a perennial verbena. I've thought about moving it, it winds around the nearby perennials. So far it doesn't seem to be bothering them though, & I kinda like those winding plants :) Herbgirls CM is a really unusual color, but a pretty one, kind of a smoky lavender pink. Reminds me a bit of Lavender Cascades, a color I just can't describe. The butterfly posed for me perfectly, the pictures aren't as crisp & clear as I would wish. Probably due as much to cheap camera as photographer ability. I think it is a swallowtail, not up on my butterflies, the main ones I see here are this one & a black one that I think is a different type of swallowtail? Tried to get a picture of the black butterfly, but it was way to busy.

Julia - Hillbilly Heart was my best budded daylily four years ago - before the neighbors planted a cherry tree in back of it. It still does pretty well in part sun, but I really need to move it to get the best performance. Kay - I know you're excited about your Maryotts order. It's going to be in the mid-90s here for the next seven days, so I'm not sure what I'm going to do about planting them. I have been working on extending an existing bed, so I may plant them in the ground and cover the area with a shade cloth. Even potting them is risky in this heat and humidity. Debra Debra

Oh lots of beauties here too! That Fairest of Them is adorable! I pick it as my favorite. I also like Exquisitely Subversive, Edge of Heaven, both Ed Brown and Belle Cook in pm (look wonderful) and Circus Performer (it reminds me of Eyes on the Prize and I like it). Looked again, and I like them all! :)

Hillbilly Heart is my favorite today and the third seedling is really nice. You must have worked your helper to hard, she looks like she's going to sleep sitting there! Marg

Thanks everyone. That first photo of the clump of seedlings (I think the blue flower is larkspur there) is the only seedlings I kept of my first years batch. They don't have a huge number of blooms, but they are bright, big, & they do rebloom some. I didn't realize when I moved them, apparently I got in some pale yellow seedlings with the group.
Maryl, Kitty's name is Roady, should be called Spoiled Rotten. He always check the flowers out with me in the morning. Sometimes he gets tired & insists that I carry him the rest of the way :)
