Your garden shots are so beautiful! I love your wall, I would really love to have something like that. The lupine look so lovely, I planted some seeds early this spring, I think only 1 came up. Of course, if it makes it, will be next year before I see anything. I think I need to go get more seeds & toss out.

Your gardens are indeed beautiful. I like the effect of a color repeat of the lupines in one area and the iris in another. The red is red valarian, Jupiter's Beard. The wall is great and it looks wide enough to sit on as well. Oh, so much room! I am envious here.

Things are looking beautiful in your garden, Julia! You and I have a lot of the same plants. I don't have spittlebugs (yet) but I'm being bombarded with slugs from all the rain lately which are causing damage to my daylilies. Also those horrible red lily beetles on my true lilies. But at least we are getting rain and that drought is behind us.
I can't wait to see more of your flowers as the seasons unfold!

Love your pictures. The columbine is such a pretty color. I think your red flower is red Valerian. I have it in my garden to and it stays both because of the smell (vanilla) and it attracts beneficial insects. Marg

Nancy: If you want some seeds from the wild lupines I grow and I do get alot of seeds, I'll send you some when the pods start to turn brown. I believe they like the cold of winter so maybe try planting some in the fall and then some in spring and see what happens.

Yes, Jupiters Beard is the red one. I like how it grows along the wall. All I need to do is trim off the dead blooms and it starts blooming again.

Another order came today from Karol Emmerich. I purchased ISLE OF PATMOS, INTELLIGENT DESIGN and COUNT IT ALL JOY. Too warm to plant now so maybe tomorrow I'll get these in the ground.

But the best surprise was a package came from Dan Bachman with a double fan of his intro TOBY VS GODZILLA. Can't wait to see this one bloom.

Just 2 more packages (just 1 plant each)to go and I'll be done planting daylilies for this year.

If anyone is getting rain, please send some my way. We need it here. So dry which makes it twice as hard to dig any daylilies out.

Thanks for the offer of the lupine seeds Julia. I went out this morning & forgot to look. If I don't find any seeds around here, I may take you up on your offer :) If I find any here, I'll probably buy a few packs, plant a few & see what happens.
We're behind on rain here too, not too bad yet but not a good start to the summer. Supposedly we're close to 4" behind in rain. I just got a big order from Brent & Becky's summer sale & have to go out & plant.

That is a beautiful garden. I, too, love your rock wall. And those lupines are magnificent! Your columbine is awfully pretty too.

I love the columbines and iris. Your garden is very cottage-y, which I like. I think gardens like that always have a magical feel to them, like you can just imagine fairies skipping about through the brush.

And every good garden has weeds. lol
