Orchid colored irises on AIS blog today

Hi all,

Now I love that color. But purples are a favorite of mine anyway...obvious from my iris garden, I know.

Renee, those foxgloves and iris and roses together are dynamite! I love oranges too, by the way. What a beautiful panoply of photos!

Hi Eloise! Long time no see. I worry about the coffee can thing- some are metal, and the roots might get too hot. I put the ones in metal cans in the back so their roots are shaded. Andi says it works really well- the Spuria iris I gave him slid right out, but I haven't tried to get mine out yet. Renee

Lovely photos and gardens! I tried to have different color schemes for the early iris, and then the late iris, but the weather was so cold and strange this year they are all blooming at once in a big cacophony of color. So much for planning! Thanks for sharing!
