WANTED: date for sedum gal's fall trade?

I have to make fall travel plans with and for my mother, but don't want to miss the trade in Poulsbo.

Has anyone heard of the date for the trade?

So sorry Judy,
I just got back from a roadtrip to Montana!!! We were camping at Glacier Park...
As for the trade, I haven't yet set a date---what weekend in September works for you, or anyone else who cares to chime in?
Saturday or Sunday is fine, and the latter half of the month works better for me, but I'm flexible. Heck, we can even postpone 'til early October if that'll work better.
Input, people?

I'm sure I could be back by the 27th of Sept. but Oct 4th would be ok for me ,too.

Welcome to Garden Web! I thought you might like to know that there is no way to email you they way your preferences are set. I suggest you go to the bottom of any page here and click on 'Member Pages'. then Edit Preferences. Then using the drop down box, set it to show your email addy to Members only. then check the box to allow others to email you via the forms here at GW. That will place a link on your member page so folks can reach you. You might also want to (while you are there) fill in your gardening zone, and your state abbreviation. The state goes in the same box as the garden zone. I for one (and some others too)prefer to trade some things with members that are a few hundred miles away, as opposed to 1000-2000 or more. Often if I can't tell where someone is located, I just don't reply to threads started by traders, rather than refuse a trade later. Postage can be quite expensive cross country. Hi Kaye, and of course you are welcome and anyone else that you would like to invite. I'm so glad my daylily friends are passing the word! Deb and I have been trying to get this plant swap going now for 2 years and we've been doing pretty good. You'll have a ton of fun. I'm like you, in that I like tropicals, too. Of course, my greenhouse is filled to bursting in the winter. LOL. OK, I would love to get any of the following: Any rain lilies, Hedychiums - Yellow Butterfly, Disney, Pink V, Luna Moth, Crinums - Ellen Bosanquet, Powellii pink, scabrum, and more, Iris - Japanese - any, Curcuma Elata and the Zedoaria 'Bicolor Wonder'. Am I being much of a pig yet? Of course, I would LOVE the Dianella tasmanica 'Variegata'! I have some new Curcuma's that I got this year - Pink Supreme - and the others I'll have to go get the names of them. I have one Burgundy Pineapple lily, tons of canna, (Richard Wallace), Rice Paper Plant - (if you get some of this, you may be cussing me out in a few years), Maranta a. variegata, PANCRATIUM Hymenocallis zeylanicum, Air Potato, if I can find that little potato that I dropped off the vine this afternoon, Abutilon 'Marion Stewart", I also have 2 pieces of a Hydrangea that my kids gave me years ago that is as tall as I am now. Found a couple of branches that were laying down on the ground so I cut them off the mother plant and they're out in the greenhouse now in a bucket of water. I have tons of Datura seed, the normal white and also the purple swirl. I have Pink Frost brugmansia and a yellow/orange one, not sure of the name. I also have a collection of Philodendrons that I might be able to get some cuttings from. P. Caulkin's gold I can definitely get a cutting, and a couple more that are in the greenhouse. Oh, and I can get a bunch of cuttings of both of my Glory Bowers (Clerodendrum thomsoniae), one is white with red bleeding, and the other is pink with red bleeding. I also have Daylilies (can you believe it?). Ok, that's enough for now. Let me know if you're interested in trading any or all of the above. hahahahahahha Thanks, Vickie

Teresa, I'm not real sure about how well the cuttings I took of the spirea will root, so I dug up some suckers for you. Just a reminder to all - there will be no kitchen or restroom facilities available. There is a McDonald's, Burger King, and a Starbuck's nearby.

Hi Lisa, I hope you had a nice trip. Glacier is such a pretty park. Did you see any bears? The week-end of the 27 and 28 would work for me also. I wouldn't mind having it on a Sunday. I work Saturdays occasionally so Sunday I know for sure I could make it. I am looking forward to seeing your garden. Karen

Hi Karen,
Yes! We saw two grizzlies (from a distance, thankfully) and were able to get pics with a telephoto lens. The waterfalls and wildflowers were incredible this year, due to the heavy snowpack this past winter...
I'm thinking Sunday Sept. 28th is perfect. Judy, does that date work for you? Anyone else have a preference? Doris? Flora? Sure hope you both can make it...

Sept 28th works great for me - gives me 2 weeks to get my new acquisitions sorted after my plant trade, which is scheduled for Sept 13th in Olympia. I'm already sorting through my trade offerings, so whatever doesn't move on Sept 13th will get an encore on Sept 28th. So far, I have:

(12) Escallonia 'Apple Blossom'
(20+) Primrose, fragrant, red w/yellow eye, on short stalk
(30) Impatiens auricoma 'Jungle Gold'(unusual perennial type)
(4) Bergenia
(15) Acer palmatum, seedlings of 'Atropurpurea'
(12) Geranium 'Orkney Cherry'
(12) Abutilon
(3) Alstromeria aurantiaca 'Orange King'
(5) Heuchera villosa 'Caramel'
Plus clumps of shasta daisies (cultivar unknown), daylilies(cultivar and color unknown), Jupiter's beard, and yarrow. Also, some rooted cuttings of forsythia and some hellebore seedlings. Anyone see anything they want?

Well, I'm trying to downsize, so I want NO plants! However, I'd love to go to the peninsula side for a day of fun and giving away extra plants. Are you in Poulsbo, Lisa?

Lisa: 28th works really well for me too. I am SO envious about your GNP trip, I wanna see it for myself SOOO badly.
bejoy: I'd love some of the Escallonia. I am not sure what I can offer you in return, but I am seriously dividing a whole bunch of stuff. Do you have any requests??
