The box arrived this morning! I guess my regular mail-lady was off today because somebody was covering her route and we got ours way ahead of the usual time. But that's ok because it gave me lots of time to rummage through the box! The final count was 36 varieties - 4 kinds of plantlets and the rest leaves. Just about everything was still in good condition. I had to soak the species leaf in sugar water because I really would love to have that one. If it doesn't make it I may have to ask who sent it and beg another leaf. I am going to share some of the leaves with a couple of friends. They will be delighted. But I was able to pull out quite a number that I will keep for myself. Thanks everyone for participating and doing such a great job keeping the box quickly on its journey. Something that I don't have to prepare in my kitchen, because I don't have one right now! :) But that's ok, because we have so many talented cooks and bakers out there. Maybe I'll contribute some drinks. If we have a couple of coolers available, I could pick up a variety of drinks.

Hi Judy, Like Lisa, I'll have to check on the Carex. But I have the Dwarf Mondo grass and autumn fern. I'd love some of the Echium starts, as well as Decaisnea fargesii /insignis and Eupatorium Gateway. I have waffled about attending (largely due to my knee replacement and ankle injury), but the thought of not being around plants each weekend is just too much for me to bear! LOL I'll know I'll have to find some way to break the habit, but not just yet! (For those who don't know, I used to work weekends at Steamboat Island Nursery, which closed - permanently - this past weekend to on-site retail sales.) I don't know if I'll get a list posted, as I have not been able to do much of anything in the garden, but I'll see what if anything I can get dug in time. Sorry I missed this as well. I participated in a spring swap on Hallson's and I'm ready for doing some more swapping. I was fortunate enough to find a couple of willing participants here in the Lower Mainland and have managed to score some nice ones. Even though I don't have much if any more room, that has been that way for the last year and it hasn't stopped me. I'm game hostalover, drop me an email when you're getting ready to do the fall one!
