Often no contact info is a new member who has failed to get set up properly for trading. They have either not noticed the sticky post, or chose to ignore it, or else didn't understand 'getting set up properly' for trading. Often when they start a trade thread, they fail to check the box to have follow-up replies emailed to them. Often I post pointing out to them that they don't have their email link enabled, thus there is no way to reach them for trading. I would guestimate that 50% to 75% of those members never get set up properly and nothing more is seen or heard of them. Occasionally later I will notice someone looking for a way to reach them, particularly if a trade has not been received. I would recommend 'never entering into a trade with anyone who is not set up properly. I think often it is just asking for trouble. Just my 2 cents. Sue

We start 95% of what we sell from seed. Around here allot of what we grow is unusual for this market. We live a rural area and have access to three small cities with in 20 minutes and 2 large cities within a 2 hour drive. You could call starting from seed as our niche. Granted some things we don't start from seeds like clematis. Just takes to long. Those we will buy plugs. We also have a smaller selection on trees and shrubs that we purchase from a couple of wholesalers. People around here just seem to like the fact that our product is grown here. Not sure why but the do. Maybe it's the small town mentality. We also feel that we can better control flower dates ect. We don't have everything blooming at the beginning of April like the box stores. We stager our flowering dates over two months so our customers will see something new every time they visit. We sell finished product. That is a big plus to the nurseries that I have visited with. Our plants are twice the size of what they are currently purchasing. It saves them the labor of potting up. It also save us labor by only moving the plant once until it's ready to sell. Bottom line is we sell bigger containers. We do have plans down the road for using our own cuttings and we do have a few varieties ready for next year. As you could imagine building your own stock takes a lot longer then starting from seeds. It's just the way we do it. And no I didn't think you thought that. List your email on your page and we can talk farther. I would love to here more on what retailer expects. Ceph, that is a good idea. I just really don't want to ignore this, and then bring it up in a month if BM does something bad and have the police say "well, why didn't you report it then?" I am inclined to think the police would act if I went to them. She violated the order, 100%, no doubt. It makes me angry in that respect becuase to me no contact means no contact. Maybe it makes BM feel better to say those things but I asked for no contact for a reason. I also do not like how she was dishonest about getting it to me in telling SS it was from grandma. I would have sent it right back out the door if SS had said this is from my mom. I don't know. I am inclined to agree with Ima in that, up until today, I have not seen much change in BM's behavior. She still flips out on DH every other week, she calls us nasty names, sends him nasty text messages on the 4th of Juluy about how she is going to make sure SS has a horrible relationship with his dad, etc. But now 3 weeks later she is "fine" and ready to make amends. I personally do not want her amends. I have forgiven her---I think--maybe not because I still get upset if I think about what my child has been exposed to directly because of BM--BUT I am not ANGRY persay. I do not wish BM ill will or harm. I just want to pretend as much as possible that she does not exist. I want my DH to deal with her, I want to live my life and raise my DD, and help my DH raise SS, and that's that.
