Spring Blooms

The work I've been doing is beginning to show, but note the bed with all the weeds (on the left) It was weeded, but not mulched waiting for these lilies to emerge. I will re-weed it this week (and mulch it)

I have pulled out thousands of little oak seedlings; this rose bed was full of them.

The columbine are blooming:

Honeysuckle has bloomed a bit all winter, and I have put up new supports for it.

I've been working on this path, planting, moved several daylilies so I could rework the curve to allow for the tree's growth, and then, unfortunately, discovered the voles had been eating roots on my favorite Japanese Maple.

I've planted foxgloves and California wildflowers.

And weeded, and weeded, and weeded...and I'm still not through!

The Dutch Iris are beginning to recover from repeated freezes and bloom:

I guess the three day spring is here...but I still have an awful lot to do.
