Hi Cearaqc: You are right about Oxalis: they grow from tubers and I would be willing to trade some of my purple with pink flowers for some of your green with white flowers. I have had mine for several years and have shared plants with friends by digging out a few tubers and planting in a pot. They multiply quite rapidly. However, I do not grow mine as a houseplant because they need full sun to be really beautiful. So I take them indoors in winter, and withhholding water, overwinter them in the dark in my basement. I have been wanting some of the green one for some time but was waiting for my friend's to 'fill out'. She also grows hers as a houseplant. You can e-mail me to finalize our trade.

Secondly, you may want the visit Dave's Garden Plant File on the Donkeytail plant. I did not know what it was so I googled it and it is apparently quite toxic. When I saw the pics. I realize I had a small plant. My DH and I were in our Banker's office when I saw his plant and of course, I had to have a piece. I remember wrapping it in a kleenex, but it is growing very slowly. I touch it quite often to make sure it is making contact with the soil and I am now wondering if it has anything to do with my recent cataract surgery, done in August, and continually 'flaring up': red, swollen, and painful. I have been on steroids and anti-inflammatories since then and there is this 'inflamation' that keeps coming back. This thought is coming to me as I write. You may want to re-consider when you read the file.
BTW the Oxalis goes by two names:
Oxalis Triangularis and Oxalis regnellii 'Atropurpurea'.
