I have the straight species of lex verticillata. I bought them from Possibility Place over in Monee, IL. I love mine. They're in full sun. They require full sun and they are site specific. I don't have a picture of mine at photobucket, but they do grow slowly. They are the same size as they were when I purchased them in April of '06. These are shrubs. I like crowded, so I'm probably not a good person to answer, but I saw the question is from last week, so I did anyway ⺠Viburnum dentatum is a good choice for the requirements you're describing (as do the other plants you've listed). Prairie Moon has them also. They're small, bare rooted plants, barely 18" tall, but mine has grown to over 5' in 1 year (mostly shade, north side of house). I purchased another dentatum (south side, but under a few trees) from Possibility Place for cross pollination that it might need and I'm happy report that they both are bearing berries this year. Birds love them too. Best thing to do when you've got sun/shade issues, is to ask a lot of questions, do a lot of reading and research. Here is a link that might be useful: Prairie Moon

OK...I think I see the problem...at least for Buffetgirl & Kgyso. I just checked all of your pages (clicked on the "My Page" link next to your name) and I noticed that Buffetgirl & Kgyso don't have email turned on. I.e., you don't have the "Send me an email" link. These are both pretty normal, I think. I *think* our cabinet backs are 1/2" ply while our sides are 3/4" (I can't remember for sure, but I remember it was different from the sides for some reason, and the sides are definitely 3/4"---we asked about it and it was something to the effect of the backs not being structural, which made sense to my husband at the time). Our doors also have the MDF panels. We had the choice of doing it either way for the same price, but the cabinetmaker strongly recommended using MDF panels because they were Shaker-style doors and would be painted, and he said wood panels had more problems with shifting over time to cause paint cracks. I posted here with the question of which option to pick, and several people said their painted cabinets also used MDF panels for the same reason. I can't find the thread, but probably would have been in September or October? The only thing I've wondered in retrospect is whether the wood panels would have made the doors feel heavier---our new doors feel much lighter than the wood doors in the same style that are original to the house. (I guess that can be good or bad---it's more that it's different so I've had to get used to using less force top open them than I'm used to!) But that might be the same either way with modern cabinet doors, since they might have ways of making thinner wood panels now---no clue. You could definitely ask and express your surprise based on the specs, but briefly I think both are pretty normal for painted cabinets. You could ask if there is a price difference for the MDF doors, but for whatever reason with ours, they were the same price (or at least not different enough that the cabinetmaker was going to pass the difference on to us).
