I came across this post at the Plant Exchange.
Will those roots grow? Isn't the daylily 'crown' required to grow a daylily, or will those roots, given enough time, eventually grow a plant?
I think of them sort of as a dahlia tuber. If a dahlia tuber has no eye, it won't grow and bloom.
Feel free to correct me here, if I'm wrong, or else post any additional information to the trade thread linked below. I just didn't want to see a member trade for these roots and then end up disappointed. I 'do know' that they are not " re-blooming tiger lily tubers".
