Mail-order source for agapanthus

My agapanthus (agapanthuses? agapanthi?) need to be dug up and divided, a truly awful task. I shudder at the thought. I'm thinking of just replacing them. I have the plain pale blue kind. I have long admired the deep blue ones, but never see them offered in the local nursery or garden centers. Does anyone know of a good mail order source that specializes in agapanthus?

Dave's Garden (Garden Watchdog) has a list of companies with high ratings. Perhaps one of them would be a good source for you.

Dang, Paula, I would take them, but I don't know when I'll be journeying (is that a word?)down south again.
I have a bunch to divide this year, and am planning to just saw them into 1/4ths. I hope it works, and I hope someone here will back me up! NT

I’m not lying! I typed in primula sieboldii seeds for sale and all it shows was some European sites which won’t work for me, one American one that we’re sold out and another from eBay with 35$ shipping and arrives in late August. I even check Dave’s garden but only had one that sells plants not seeds. But ok I’ll check barnhaven

Blooming Bulb had some decent prices, and the stock didn't look bad when I ordered in 2020(winter). So far out of 20 bulbs ordered, most have come back, I'm still holding out hope it's still to early for everything to be up. We shall see. Gilbert H Wild had decent prices, some buy one, get one. I didn't buy anything, well peonies. I've had hit and miss on the day lilies though so I'm hesitant on anything else. It's tough to buy peonies online because it can take so long to get an actual bloom. As long as you are at least happy it lived to the next year that can be good but it may still end up a wrong color or whatever.

I was just at Cottage Grove Nursery in West Salem, WI, and I’m pretty sure they had a couple of them. It would be worth a phone call. They have nice stock and reasonable prices. This is not the clone you’re looking for, but it gives you an idea of the pricing.

Wayside Gardens offers the striking dark violet-purple flowering agapanthus. However, I'm really surprised there are no nurseries near you that could special-order it, or one of the similar varieties. CA has 2 of the largest plant wholesalers in the country and most of the agapanthus sold in the US is grown in this state.
