And not only is that a variegated Portulacaria afra....it's a *reverse* variegated Port. afra!

Come to think of it, I have seen the variegated P. afra, I have a tiny one that doesn't seem to grow. It didn't occur to me because that one looks very different from the one I have and from what I've seen.

Josh, what does the *reverse* mean?

The common variegated Port. afra has leaves with a green tinge down the middle and undersides,
and white or cream on the outer edges of the leaf. The variegation of Mike's plant is reversed....
with green on the outer edges of the leaf and white color down the middle of the leaf. Also, Mike's
cultivar produces new all-white leaves, which are less common on the standard variegated Port. afra.

Looks like an Echeveria leaf. Some of them develop very odd growths. See this thread:

The same to all of you here! It is still a holiday today and I hope everyone is relaxing and finally able to spend some much quality time with their plant.
I have been in the greenhouse, cool plant room, cellar, and house all day examining and cleaning off all the plants.
I've been dusting the shelves, windexing, sweeping, and rearranging. Fun though when you have the time:-)

Josh know his plants very well and thank so much for helping many to understand the names of these Josh. I am pretty bad with names. I keep making myself a promise to get labels and do them all in the spring.
So many came without tags that I need to get that done along with dates received.

Andrewand Pennyhal, that warty thing is exactly what Penfold said. Thank you Penfold. Trying to root that one.

Rob, I am not sure but traveled to Conn. to grab one. The owner of a private, appointment only possibly up and coming nursery gave it to me. He has rare plants and is planning of slowly introducing them to another nursery for special sales for plants hard to fine. He wouldn't give me even a segment of a triple blossom TC though. I never saw the flowers so big as these before. He is rooting one for me for the spring and says I will be one of the first to ever own one of these around here. We'll see.

Mike what is the name of the 3rd one?? I have a bunch of that one,i just call them jades,don't know if that's what they really are or not.I also have quite a few starts of that and others potted up.A piece breaks off of something,i repot it,hate to throw plants away.

The Agave loooks awesome!!! Is that the one i sent to you? if it is..WOW!!! You have done a great job. It looks wonderful!!! The Mock Orange is pushing new blooms and one seedpod from the last flush is finally turning red!

The little "Rosa" is blooming as well!!! WHOOOO HOO!

Im really happy about these babies!!! The other gems that you gave me are all doing well...

The Agave you sent me is and is doing quite well! You can tell I take good care of the special ones everyone sends me. They are all so special. I thank you and any one that has shared theirs with me.

You should see the Desert Roses you sent me too. They are all doing very well!

I can't wait to see pics of little 'Rosa'! It must be doing very good in your care. Yahoo is right. Smells so good, right, just like the Mock Orange.

The Agave looks great. I just love that Varigated one!! The mother Agave is doing well and the Blue Green one is huge!!!

I just went up to water the plants and i checked on the "Little Rosa" and she is sporting a tiny orange!! Along with more blooms. The Mock Orange finally has a red seedpod. : ) I will take some pics and post a new thread
for you to see. (Before and after pics..) On the Citrus forum.

Everything looks wonderful....

Sorry i missed you, the kids were packing up to leave and head back to NC. Things have been rather hectic here with all of the family back home and especially with all of their animals too! : )

I can see some very familiar plants! Nice job Josh. They all look so happy and are thriving. I love them all. The bright yellow jade almost forced me to put on my sun glasses.lol
I love the textured look of that 'gargoyle' too.

Josh, what is that weird plant right behind the Orchid to the left? It looks thorny. By the way, your orchid is amazing.

Good eye on the thorny looking plant. That one is my Euphorbia beharensis var. giullemetii

Your beautiful variegated Gollum looks more like a variegated E.T fingers. Gollum has much less tubular leaves.

I don't know how to post photos. I post a link to a pic of my little variegated Gollum. The plant is still very small, leaves will be more typical in the future.

Indeed, Finger Jades - such as 'Gollum' and 'Skinny Fingers' (the name I prefer) -
share leaf characteristics. On a monstrose cultivar with mixed leaves, I simply call the
plant by its predominant leaf-type.

French, you have a cute little 'Gollum' for sure.
