Will someone explain to me how to add pictures to my post I hope I'm not showing my dumbness Thanks Rob

Go to photobucket.com, upload the photo you wan't. Copy and paste the img link to your message. Pretty easy, hope this helps.

Robs-2007: I tried and tried and never "got it" until my daughter was home from university and showed me how. Fishinfool above is right - although for me a demonstration was needed. Good luck!

Thanks hopefulauther - Aeonium, will try and source one [or two] of those down. Chemocurl - no problems at all copy/paste and quote all you want,,,,if it means getting pictures posted, I'm all for it. Many message boards don't seem to have decent instructions on posting pics, if they have any info at all. Guess that's where we all come in :-)

I gave someone some instructions here: See 3rd post down. I've seen a few other posts floating around too. The instructions I have have photobucket screenshots, but that same principle works for pictures on any web server.

Good job all of you. It is really cool to be able to do this for the first time. My son wrote out the line of code and taped it to my computer monitor. That's how I finally got it, by being able to read it right in front of me everytime I wanted to insert a photo. Note for any who are testing their skills.......when you type out your message and insert your photo, the photo WILL show up when you hit "preview message" before submitting. So, if there is no photo on the preview page, there won't be one on the real deal. Red

Just what I wanted to know. I guess I'm pretty dumb, I think I will try and get my 10 year old neighbor to show me how. LOL I don't know where photo bucket is located. Can old ladies learn new tricks? I will need a demo as well. Crasulady2 Norma

Free pic hosting, and seems to be more reliable than
some of the other services out there. I can't remember a time when the site was unavailable.

One piece of advice is that you should create albums right off the bat. If you try to organize photos later, your codes will change and any pictures you've posted up to that point will turn to red x's.

When you generate the image-code with photobucket, you are given several choices (depending on the type of messageboard where you're posting). The top two codes work best for gardenweb - the first is a clickable thumbnail, which is nice and discreet; the second is full size.
