I have a feeling that the Meet Joe Black x Lady Betty Fretz cross was mislabled. Could it possibly be one of the Michael Miller x Leslie Renee seeds? Anyway, it is one of many beauties that you have posted here. Here are a couple of seedlings from Victorian Lace X Within the Veil.

Hi Ed: You might be right about the mislabel, I was very surprised when I first saw it. It was the middle plant of 6 seedlings so I don't thing I mixed it up. Maybe the seed was misplaced in the package?? However, it does look a bit like LBF without the eye. I like your VL crosses, the top one looks like it may double at some time. Did it keep the extra petal in the middle? Victorian Lace has been a very good parent for me. Thanks for sharing and the very best of the season to you and yours.

Jan they are both keepers in my opinion. VL x VL is almost identical to VL itself.

I'll sow my first seed from Joan Senior and Gentle Shepherd this year. Eldon I am very happy I found your photos/instructions about hybridizing on PBase! Excellent information!

The bloom was the only one to try to double. Usually it was like the middle picture. They are the same seedling. I have two other from that cross but neither are as nice as those two.

Thanks ingwe4, glad it was helpful. There are lots of methods that work very well but that way seems to work best for me.
