New homeowner/citrus gardener. Lots of types! Help!

overcaffeinated

Just bought a new house in North Phoenix, AZ. It has 3 mature-ish citrus trees (3-4 years old?) I believe they are:

-Lisbon lemon (the ones that are ripening now are VERY large)

-Bearrs lime? (this is the biggest mystery, but the nursery said it was this type -- yellowish-green exterior, but smells and tastes more lemon-like upon cutting)

-Mexican lime - love it!

In addition, I've gone a little bonkers and bought:

-Tangelo (I think Minneola, but I need to double-check ASAP)

-Valencia Orange

-Ruby Red Grapefruit

-Nagami Kumquat

All of these trees came from the nursery and are not as small as others I've seen on this forum. Some already have small fruit.

I believe I am going to container-grow the kumquat. Is a half-wine/whiskey barrel too large? I'd prefer to buy one permanent pot. Is this realistic?

The others will be planted in the ground. How much space should I leave between them? I would love to plant two of them in the space between my back wall and pool. Should I be concerned about roots damaging the pool? If so, is container growing a better option?

Does anyone know if any other varieties grow better in my

zone/Phx/Desert SW other than those listed above?

I'm sorry for the million questions! I am a COMPLETE novice and probably shouldn't have gone so crazy, but I have, and now I have to plan for the future. Thank you!
