Hi guys, I recently purchased a meyer lemon tree and it was doing well until this week when the leaves began to turn yellow. The yellowing appeared punched out and appears more prominent on the sides. I am not sure what can cause this. My soil humidity level is ok, I'm using parrot which helps to prevent over watering. I've attached few photos. Any help is highly appreciated. I really don't want this plant to die. Thank you!

Hi Devsense. I bought five citrus from Plant World (400 Eglington Ave West) over the past couple weeks. I'm not sure of any other dealers of citrus trees within Toronto. I know of have Jade Gardens but it is in Milton. Initially I purchased a ponderosa lemon, thereafter I went back and got a red navel orange and a "cocktail plant", which consists of a key lime (limequat) and a Meyer lemon. I returned for a final time in search of fertilizer, and ended up bringing home another two plants, a key lime (since I'm not sure if the cocktail tree is a key lime or limequat) and a variegated pink lemon. Mikerno, these plants are new for me -- so no overwintering yet. I purchased the key lime three days ago at the nursery, and it was fine when I got it. It now has the appearance with many yellow dots in the pictures on its leaves, which began on day two after bringing it home. I will be trying to find a magnifying glass. Can I spray my citrus trees down with Safer's insecticidal soap? Or is this harmful to citrus tress? I spot checked a leaf on the key lime last night and this morning it looks okay. And Devsense, Laura, what is this 5-1-1 mix you are referring to? I have been using Foliage Pro on my other plants. I have only used it once on some of the citrus trees I brought home (the ponderosa, navel orange and more recently the cocktail tree). I additionally will receive an order from Flora Exotica today with more citrus: 1) Calamondin Orange 2) Persian Lime 3) Coffee Plant This is in addition to my many other plants (over 50), but they don't give me any issues. thanks for your help. I purchased this with 3 others from Lowe’s mid June and repotted within a week. I put them in galvanized steel pots. I used the miracle grow fertilizer for tomato, fruit and veg 10-5-15 around end of June because I couldn’t find any citrus specific fertilizer. I purchased epsoma citrus liquid feed a few weeks later because early July it was already yellowing and had leaf pattern changes. I’ve been researching about yellowing and thought the liquid would boost the nitrogen. I’ve used the liquid fertilizer per directions with water and feed every 2-3 weeks. I mix liquid 2 doses with Proper water and spread amongst 3 trees so maybe it hasn’t been exact. Question : Did You notice the leaves are malformed, they aren’t symmetrical like my other trees. The other thing I can’t figure out is the yellowing started on lower leaves and is extending upwards. The upper leaves are still green. would that be normal if it was a nutrient deficient? i will try and pick up a ph meter or test Kit this weekend first and see if that could be the reason. Id hate to pull this tree out of pot and stress it more, plus I have no clue what to look for. can You point me to good website or even video that shows how to differentiate good root and bad root. And might have good techniques on pulling this out of soil
