Should I nip tips of sprouted dahlias?

I started my dahlias in pots about 2 weeks ago to get a head start before planting them outside. About half have nice green shoots, the other half are all just dozing in the sun and thinking quietly to themselves. (These are all new varieties: I haven't gotten around to the ones I dug and stored in the garage frig last fall.)

I'm wondering if I should nip the growing tips a bit. Some of these are 6 inches tall, and getting a bit leggy looking. Maybe 3 pairs of leaves. They are getting good morning sun and the shoots are nicely green. I would rather have shorter and bushier plants if this will do it.
