Winners and Losers

I saw this topic on the annuals forum and I would really like to hear your experiences this year. What things did really well for you this year, and what were big disappointments?

For me:

Winners

Scabiosa, Cut Brites - bloomed their heads off to the point where they got ahead of me.

Zinnias, Benary and Oklahoma - great, as always.

Sunflowers, ProCuts and Sunrich Orange - ditto

Rudbeckia, Cherokee Sunset - These double-flowered guys were fantastic and customers liked them a lot. I'll be planting a LOT more next year.

Dianthus, Amazon - Great, as always.

Asclepias, Curassavica - Aside from dealing with the milky sap, I thought these were great little flowers with nice long stems.

Disappointments

Snapdragons, rockets - It was too hot here, and they were all too short.

Marigolds, Crackerjack - Stems branched all over the place. It was a nightmare trying to get the Tenax out of the plants last week, and I didn't care for the flowers. I'll do Gold Coins next year.

Dahlias, mixed - It was my first year with these and I apparently have a few things to learn.

Ageratum, Blue Horizon - It was too short for me this year. I'm guessing the soil was too poor where I put it.

How about your stuff?
