Just curious. ..What do you intend to do with your seedling? I've read that Clemantines do not come true from seed. Are you planning on keeping it in a pot until it is 10 feet + tall? I don't know how long these have to grow before they attain maturity so that they bloom.

But in any case it's nice looking and generally mandarins don't seem to have the long thorns of oranges and others.

Well they fruit when they are 3yrs old supost to anyway. I grow more for fun if I get fruit great if not oh well. Just beautiful to see them grow thanks for commit.

Coming later will start to move trees to greenhouse mid October when lows start to dip to high 40s.Thanks mike and everyone its a cute tree last year i was able to keep trees out until end of October before it got cold. Now that i have a greenhouse i will just use it and retire porch for spring.

Hi Trace.

Nice looking trees. I have found that the mandarins are less sensitive to light and temperature changes that can plague other citrus. You will also find that the bucket lights don't work as well when the trees get biger. I used a 4 by 4 by 4 cube with lights. The cube work well but no match for the bucket light. My trees will be in my greenhouse for the cold season. I hope all of us with new greenhouses do well with our tree. I hope your tree fruits soon.

I got some 6 fig cuttings that have rooted that I will use a bucket light on for their first winter.
