Happy Birthday Kathy, hope your day is filled with sugar and spice and everything nice. I hope everything has gone smoothly with the new house. Have you got the keys yet? I know it's going to be hard leaving the house you're in now if you're anything like me.

I hope this lovely home you've bought will bring you loads of happiness and a garden that puts a smile on your face.

I try to check the birthdays everyday, some of the handles I don't recognize but so many of you have become friends, it's my way of acknowledging the friendship I feel. If I miss anyone, I'm sorry just put it down to this old gal isn't with it all the time, but then, you already know that LOL.

Happy birthday, Kathy! Sorry I have been so absent from the forum lately, too busy with the full time job, but trying to keep an eye whenever is possible. I didn't have the chance to comment on the new home before, congratulations, I think you are very wise to downsize and move closer to the places you prefer. Besides, you'll have a new garden to play with!

Hope your wealth is also doing fine and wish you a lovely birthday and many happy returns, for years to come!

Thank you all, my dear, dear friends. Yesterday we had one of those days here at our house -- no water for 36 hours, Freya sneaking a pizza off the kitchen counter, and the smell of fresh polyurethane pervading the cold, damp house.... On the other hand, I had the loving affection of Tom and my DS Jacob, calls and cards from family, and greetings from all of you. And tonight we're going out to dinner to try celebrate again. Carla, Luanne, Jon, Anita, Lori, Ingrid, Sue, Carolina, Pamela, and Carol -- each one of your messages brought smiles and memories to my mind. I just realized that with the exception of Ingrid, I know each one of you in the Real World (as opposed to online) -- Ingrid, we'll just have to correct that soon. I remember laughing when my grandfather gave Grandmother red lacey underwear for Christmas. And thinking how funny that old people etc.... He was 55 and she was 54. Mother use to say middle age was anyone ten years older than she. I feel the same way! Thanks again all my good friends. And wish us a beautiful Saturday. This will be our 3rd fall plant swap and 5th swap total.

Thanks for the birthday wishes! This is the 5-0 birthday for me and it's just hard for me to believe it! After yesterday though, I'm FEELING it! LOL The house my boys lived in when they were in college is going on the market today so I was over there painting the kitchen cabinets and staging the bathrooms (cleaned them spic-n-span first). Oh my, I have soreness in places I didn't even know I had places! It probably didn't help that I came home and practically guzzled a bottle of wine while in the hot tub! So I guess 49 went out with a bang and 50 is coming in with a whimper. :-)

Annette ~ thank you for thinking of me. On a trip I was able to buy a gallon sized blue canning jar for a gift to my neighbor. It was really difficult to give that biggie up.
You are so right about friends here. I feel like y'all are people I have known for years. Well, I guess some of us have known each other for years.

Eduarda ~ I was thinking of you today. I was trying to decide whether to dig up my Phyllis Bide or leave it here. It is so perfect for that spot, I will leave it for the next people to enjoy.

Cousin Edna ~ You are going to come help me finish packing right? WBHAHAHA!! Thanks for the good wishes. Next year I will be able to collect Medicare. Woohoo!

Here in Ohio we have a Golden Buckeye card which we get at a ***certain****age. Mine is humming for every discount and freebie available. I can flip it out of my wallet faster than a Visa. I consider it a rare perk to growing OLDer.

Y'all make me fell great! Many thanks for the birthday wishes.
I have to tell you something funny. While walking through the grocery the other day my right jaw popped out of socket. (yes it was painful). I swear I was alone and not talking to anyone. I was telling one of my sons about it and he said he had had that happen once. He said: "sort of like a sprain, But it might not be a good idea to tell anyone you sprained yor jaw".And yes, it hurt to laugh so hard.
