Can someone help me learn to start a post?

I need help rooting my Jade leaves? I'm having some success with rooting hormone but still unsure if i might be using too much soil. I actually stopped using soil accept to lightly cover the ends and have success, I have about 40 leaves I'm trying to root, I have branches too. I've rooted the branches in water but that seems like cheating so I'm sticking to the rooting ormone and soil. I haven't developed a full proof technique. sorry for cutting in on you, I've been lurking for a month and can't get the hang of things here. I really do love your succulent, and have very small ones similar. Exciting!

Love those little fuzzy hairs on the edges of the leaves! Beautiful "rosettes"...is that what they are called in succulent jargon?

Cactus, that is one, beautiful Aeonium!! I love the fuzzy, colorful leavees.

When you first get Aeoniums, do they have a trunk, or are they little guys?

If little, how long does it take before they form a trunk? Months, years?

I don't remember who I got it from years ago, but even in SD you didn't see it often. I don't think Miles has this - I don't know who does.

Rosettes is the precise word - you've been learning again!

I like to get them with trunks - they're easier to root (if they don't have any). I would say years. For these, I would imagine they'd handle a few-hour-freeze, as long as they're stone-dry, but I wouldn't want to chance it.
