I agree with the poster before me. Wait until your ground can be worked & plant the dafs in what ever stage they are. You may be planting only bulbs because the foliage might be gone by then. [Once the foliage is gone don't water them except may every 2 weeks.] Use some bulb food to top dress the hole once you have them in the ground. Plant about 6" deep. They will do just fine & I always give my bulbs some bulb food in spring just as they are poking up once the weather stays warm. This gives them a little extra energy.

Mesh bags (like the ones onions come in) are great for storage. Paper shopping bags work almost as well. Store them at around 70F for the summer; 60F or so (e.g., cellar temp) in the early fall. Humidity in the same range that people enjoy (30-50%) is best. Plant in the fall, probably in October in your area.

You could just leave them in their pots. Put them somewhere that's not too baking in the sun hot and then either plant them out in the fall or start watering them in the fall. For the ones who's pots you'd like to use, take the bulbs out of the soil and store them in either a mesh bag or paper bag. Keep them in an airy, dry spot in either a garage or shed (not inside in the airconditioning) and remember to replant them again in the fall. Good luck!
