New brooms...

Hi, let me introduce you some new march 2010 witchÂ´s brooms...

Pinus silvestris "Blanka", Picea abies "Sumperk" and Picea abies "Jura".

I am ready to go for another portion of witches, but there is a so much snow in my nearest mountain yet. One meter and more...

Hi Jan,
Here is a question:
When you register a cultivar name like "Sumperk", where the "S" doesn't include the Czech accent symbol which signifies a pronunciation as "Sh", would the rest of the world register it as "Shumperk" ?

A few more photos. These broom were retrieved yesterday in the western part of NH. Brooms were located in this bog area that created by glaciers. Picea mariana broom 1 Picea mariana broom 2 Picea mariana broom 3 The pictures were taken with my phone. It was a cloudy snowy and rainy day. The pictures really don't due justice. These brooms really have some nice coloration.

Well, we returned this weekend for another collection of Stephanie's two brooms. This time, she had the camera to photograph the retrieval of the remaining broom. The broom is quite high..about 40' (125 m) There I am risking my life, using a pole pruner in a tree.. Trophy shot with Stephanie and her helpful dad, lending his ladder and truck for equipment! Many scions available for trade if anyone would like to propagate this special Doug Fir! -Sam
