BeBe update

B had his checkup yesterday. He is doing great. With the exception that he cannot eat kibble. We still have to spoon feed him by scraping a tiny bit (1/8 tsp) from the can. Also he gets baby food in the morning, he can't seem to eat the dog food early in the day.

He now weighs 12 lbs. To look at him you would never believe that he was so sick. Proof that Mama's hand work wonders.

He still regurgitates if the bite is even a little bit too large. He hops off the chair runs out the dog door and then comes back to eat again.

He was so happy to see Dr. M. He hopped on the bench and then onto the exam table and was wiggling and kissing Dr. M. The vet said he was glad B did not hate him.

Dr. M. said he would have bet money B would not survive. He calls him his/our miracle dog.

A vet in SA referred a family to him. Their lab had the same symptoms as B, but they could not find anything wrong. He told them what we had done to feed B and keep him alive. The pablum, blended dog food, blended meats.

Diane gets the credit for the idea of pablum. She used that years ago to save a baby raccoon.

Kathy thanks for the update, I've been wondering how things were going, BeBe is so lucky he has such caring moms.

Well, he had a bad night, lots of regurgitating. He has kept his liquid breakfast down. A few minutes ago he drank water from the water dish. This is the first time in a month. So it does look like a good start for the day. Again, thanks for the moral support. What a great family y'all have become.

John, Your solution sounds simple; but is it solving a problem or just per longing one? If ARS wants judges to abide by this solution they should say so, and than all judges will be using the same procedure when judging. You have to question is it fair to all exhibitors or even in accordance with what the Guidelines mandates? For an example, take a challenge class that specifies three floribundas sprays, all different varieties. With overall appearance being a prime element in judging challenge classes and carries with it an extra 30 points. This includes a pleasing color combination, uniformity of bloom form and degree of openness. Showing three Hannah Gordons etc. all from the same plant, calling one "Hannah Gordon", one "Raspberry Ice" and one "Nicole". More likely assures you of winning with this combination, than a collection of three floribundas sprays all of different varieties as the challenge called for. Is would more likely be the winning challenge, but is this fair to other exhibitors in the challenge class? Because an exhibitor received a rose from a nursery called "Tabris", entering it under that name as suggested. Is not in compliance with the latest ARS "AEN" publication, using only the official approved exhibition name, "Raspberry Ice". Ron Schwerdt

OK, I finally did the video for days 16 and 17. It was a hard one to do. Again this morning I have seen the parents take mealworms into the trees, way up high. Now I'm counting the days till Daddy brings them back. Here's the last video. I've had the phrase 'up into the high trees' and I think I know why: "Somewhere over the rainbow Way up high, There's a land that I heard of Once in a lullaby. " Bluebird blessings, Linda... Today was the last day for this crew. Doors are 100% dried in, Out door Dryvit and Trim is next and that doesn't start until next tuesday, IM also going to have them trim the windows the same way they are the doors just to get that little bit of extra water protection. They were going to start tomorrow but with wind chills going below 0* (almost unheard of out here) they called and said how about next week and I said I dont blame them. The guys today had to use a heat gun to get the wrap to stick to the doors. Overall IM very happy with the install and the next few weeks weather wise will be the test on their install. Hope they perform as good as they look. Such a nice improvement over the old doors. Still have the front door and that yucky green door to do, But I was slow in picking a style for those, Just got them ordered from therma-tru today so hopefully they get in in 3 or 4 weeks, that I'm doing myself just because I was able to get those from my own supplier. Thanks for everyones help and letting me pick yalls brains! Heres the final pictures I have now of the doors. I will post some more when the doors are 100%, but were probably another month or so until then. (floors and decks in as well as the trim and the rest of the exterior of the house being painted) Drywall finally started going up today too so that was nice. this one here wasn't a super huge change, it already had a newer vinyl door in but I wanted all to match and be top quality so I said replace it. I think it was like a andersen 100 series or something in it before. But heres all the new doors in! I wish I was moving in here lol. This is an interior of the bank of 4. I honestly love the look of them and the added support right below those I beams is just icing on the cake really. It wasn't needed but always nice to have. Bless you ladies for being such wonderful Moms.
BeBe is adorable. I am so glad you all have each other.

Hope you two have also completely recovered from your illnesses, too. I was so worried about you.

For two old "wider" ladies, we are doing okay.

I am getting some things started or divided to take to our San Antonio plant swap. It will be in early Oct.

Kathy, BeBe's recovery is a tribute to his will to live and to you and Diane for your devotion and care for him. A truly heartwarming story, all I can say is that I hope he continues to recover as well.

Great that BeBe is holding his own so well and hats off to Moms for holding the fort! Would maybe a tiny bit of organic, plain yogurt be an appropriate addition now? It's soft, smooth and loaded w/all the good stuff. Just a thought.

He is such a special little dog.
He never gave up.

He finally gets to go to the groomer next week. If someone saw him they would turn us in for neglect. I'll post a picture after he gets home.
