Had a wonderful date with hubby last night. Dinner and a movie. Kicked his behind fishing today and saw cool critters at the lake. What more can a girl ask for. I'm glad I have my sweet husband back and that alien that had invaded him got out, lol. It was kind of chilly today so excuse my many layers of clothes, lol.

Thanks Susan. It was a nice day. I'm sick of eating fish right now but will probably make some tomorrow night for hubby. Come on down and we can have a fish fry and go fishing too, lol.

Kasha thans, :) Karyn, i have 63 varieties, and alot of my own hybrids. I try not to keep to many hybrids, so when i get something reallky nice i get rid of one that wasnt as good. I usually grow about 100 hybrids at a time and choose about 5 of so to keep. Joyce, yes i know there is now tropicanna gold and tropicanna black. I iwsh i could get my hands on those, but unfortunately trinidad is limited :( Lucy nope i havent named that pinkl and cream hybrid yet. If i get something really nicer i might have to get rid of it though. because of limited garden space.

wow, txpepper - that's a lot of samples! I bought 3 for the cabinets and 3 for the walls, and the sw ones come in quart sizes, so I feel like I have so much stored away in my basement....I've decided I'm going to repaint my closet this year in a fun color since I have all of this, maybe stripes. I'll have to do a bigger sample. Before I had painted on a posterboard and moved it around; this was the first time I actually did a sample on the walls. And I couldn't find big chill on line or on my sherwin williams color deck (we were in there so much when we moved here that they threw one in). I had originally looked at much brighter aqua colors, and thank goodness for seeing samples and advice online....I was surprised that both rainwashed and sea salt are in the "neutral" section. I will have to call my fabricator to find out what's up with the spots. I think that could possibly be the adhesive, b/c I just think that I would have noticed the 2 spots the day of installation, when the counters were actually all bare and clean. Remodelfla - Every room I've seen with rainwashed is just so lovely! My dream, if I pull the room together, is that the walls will look a warm subtle aqua color, and then I'll use pops of red as an accent. lavender lass - thanks! It's hard to take a pic of my kitchen without one of my kids wandering into the shot! fori - my stone was called valley white, but I think it's the same or similar to white river and white spring. I was thinking I'd get jet mist, but I just fell in love with this stone at the granite yard! stacey, I'm going with the cheap lowes subway tile. I have it already, and it feels a good match with both the cabinets (sw alabaster) and the granite. I would love to lay it in a herringbone pattern, but I think I'm just going to stick with subway as that's challenging enough for me. I've been playing with the tiles on a template, and it feels like a game of jenga I've rearranged them so much!

Holly-Kay, I agree (though in my case it might be iced tea). After my mom passed, I took my dad to the veteran's cemetery to see the marker in place. Remains there are placed in the order recieved and my dad waited until they were on the side of the columbarium facing a pond and then calculated the days expected to be able to place her in front of it and between two trees. And that's exactly what he got for her (and later him). As we were there remembering her, a great white heron was standing at the water's edge. It let us watch a while, changed locations a couple of times and then took off and flew around and over the pond. I felt my mother was acknowledging our presence and letting us know she was free and at peace (she had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's 11-12 years earlier and had a broken hip and horrible GI infection at the end). Now I remember her when I see one linger when I approach or fly overhead. That's as close as I'm going to get while I'm still here. I'll take it. Patty Vinson -- I haven't seen a lightening bug is so many years. I used to have them in my backyard of the house I lived in before DH and I were married -- so I guess that would be about 25 years. I miss them, and I like your list. :)

the craziest thing is today-I'm sitting here, and my daughter, who's birthday is July 4, is first time not with her family, but with her friends in LA where she studies. She's a big girl now, so that was bound to happen one July 4 or another..but yes..I'd say that the craziest thing that I don't really do, but it happens. Happy Independence day, everyone! you're immensely talented (once I made a chocolate cake for DS's birthday..it took me six hours..involved some special thing from the store that cost 40 bucks alone..some essence of something..he asked me excitedly "Will I get it next birthday too?!" "No", I said. "I'm afraid not" Lol)

Are the deer in the water? Look at all those fish you caught! My BIL just bought a boat as an Xmas gift to himself so he'd better take me fishing!!!! You can give me some fishing tips. lol BTW glad to hear that the nice normal DH is back : )

The deer are standing in the shallow water drinking. The other pic is some kind of hawk I think on the dead tree. I don't know much about fishing up north but be glad to help if I can, lol. Kylie I have a freezer full waiting on you. Remind me to bring you some when we come up. I know you are homesick. I would be too. Tell your dad if he goes without a fight I'll come visit him and he can pinch my behind without getting slapped, lol.

Making me jealous. I need to go buy me and my wife's fishing lisc. I missed the flounder run here. Really nice stripers you have there.

Still no new hull. LOL Children in trouble and college tuition has kept me occupied and tapped. The welded aluminum center console boats are rare here and real pricey if new.

Keep those pictures coming and I will get motivated and you and your hubbie can come flounder gigging in the summer.

Great photos Kristy! Glad you had fun fishing, and was quite successful at it -- wow, so many fish! Must have missed some posts because I didn't know John was NOT letting you have your way, LOL!!!, or whatever the problem was. Anyway, glad you had a beautiful date with your hubby.

What I won't do for my friends. Ok Lucy you can pinch John's butt next time you come over, lol. Eloise we were really stressing out and fighting a lot when we first started building the greenhouse because he didn't know what he was doing and wouldn't listen to me and we kept having to go back and redo things the way I tried to get him to do it in the beginning and it caused quite a bit of unhappiness to be mad at each other and stressed out all the time. Its all good now. Still don't know how I am going to fix the one spot in the greenhouse he didn't listen to me about but I will figure out something, lol. Kylie it won't hurt to make an old fellow happy as long as he doesn't pinch too hard, lol. Love you too. Jim the bites about to get good. Anybody wants to go fishing just say the word. We will pile in and go. I hope you get your new hull soon. I'll take you up on that flounder trip.

Glad things worked out Kristy. I think on some old post, I did state that you had better engineering skills, LOL! Stop offering John's butt for pinching; he might end up either flat or puffy from some many pinches, LOL!
