I need some '101' type help ..

I'm looking at purchasing a Staghorn. Over the last week or so I've been reading about them and deciding where to buy, how to mount etc..

At a local nursery they have 2 beautiful large ferns which I thought I recognized as a staghorn. However, the tags say Elkhorn.

I came back home to see what the difference is and have found that some people say there is a difference, some people use the name interchangably when referring to the staghorn.

Are they the same thing? Is there a difference I can look for to know which is which? Both of these ferns are in a pot, not mounted on wood.

They also had a fern that had fuzzy feet, like a rabbit foot fern, but was not a rabbit foot. And the furry feet were a bronze tint.

Maybe I can determine if this fern is a staghorn or elkhorn then decide whether to go back and buy it.

thanks everyone..
