Here are some more theme songs that you all will probably guess in short order. I'll bet you'll be humming at least one of them all day today.

Oh, you are being so easy on us this weekend, TM-either that or we are all just tv junkies.

Know these also. #3 was a favorite of my son when he was little. He and his best friend pretended they were those two as they zoomed around on their big wheel bikes. Very cute-problem was DS sort of drove that way when he got his license-oh well. Never had an accident as a result. Speeding tickets? That's another story.

I watched #1 and #2 regularly, but # 4 not so much-did watch the show it was spun off from though.

You guys are good! I would say that TM and Nancy both have it, Annette, so four stars for all three of you. Bobbie, you were getting there, but the fruit itself is not terribly sour. Here is the low-down-first part from linked article and second paragraph from Wikipedia. Synsepalum dulcificum (Miracle Fruit) The so-called Ã¢ÂÂmiracle fruitÃ¢ÂÂ may look normal, but it has one very unusual property: it has the ability to make sour foods taste sweet. If you chew one miracle berry before a meal, youÃ¢ÂÂll notice that vinegar begins to taste as sweet as apple cider, and lemons become candy-like. This seemingly drug-like effect has given rise to Ã¢ÂÂflavor-tripping parties,Ã¢ÂÂ in which groups of people chew miracle fruit and then marvel at the sweet flavors of Ã¢ÂÂsourÃ¢ÂÂ foods. The berry itself has a low sugar content and a mildly sweet tang. It contains a glycoprotein molecule, with some trailing carbohydrate chains, called miraculin. When the fleshy part of the fruit is eaten, this molecule binds to the tongue's taste buds, causing sour foods to taste sweet. At neutral pH, miraculin binds and blocks the receptors, but at low pH (resulting from ingestion of sour foods) miraculin binds protons and becomes able to activate the sweet receptors, resulting in the perception of sweet taste. Well, no fooling you lot!! Yes, it was/is Satisfaction. Keith Richards states that he came up with the guitar riff for the song in his sleep, waking up in the middle of the night, recording the riff and the words "I can't get no satisfaction" on a cassette recorder and promptly falling back to sleep. He would later describe the tape as: "two minutes of 'Satisfaction' and 40 minutes of me snoring." He and Jagger finished writing the song at the Jack Tar Harrison Hotel in Clearwater, Florida, in May 1965. Jagger wrote most of the lyrics after being confined to their Clearwater hotel rooms and not permitted to play, not as a statement about the rampant commercialism that the Rolling Stones had seen in America. The Rolling Stones first recorded the track on 10 May 1965 at Chess Studios in Chicago - a version featuring Brian Jones on harmonica. The group re-recorded it two days later at RCA Studios in Hollywood, with a different beat and the Gibson Maestro fuzzbox adding sustain to the sound of the guitar riff. Richards envisioned redoing the track later with a horn section playing the riff: "this was just a little sketch, because, to my mind, the fuzz tone was really there to denote what the horns would be doing." The other Rolling Stones, as well as manager Andrew Loog Oldham and sound engineer Dave Hassinger eventually outvoted Richards and the track was selected for release as a single. The song's success boosted sales of the Gibson fuzzbox so that the entire available stock sold out by the end of 1965. The single made its way through the American charts, reaching the top on 10 July, displacing The Four Tops' "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)". "Satisfaction" held on for a full four weeks, being knocked off on 7 August by "I'm Henry the Eighth, I Am" from Herman's Hermits. The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 charts in America in the week ending 12 June 1965, remaining there for 14 weeks; it was #1 for four straight weeks. While in its eighth week on the American charts, the single was certified a gold record award by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for selling more than half a million copies in the United States, giving the band their first of many gold disc awards in America. Richards was concerned that the riff sounded too much like Martha and the Vandellas' "Dancing in the Street". Jagger later said: "It sounded like a folk song when we first started working on it and Keith didn't like it much, he didn't want it to be a single, he didn't think it would do very well... I think Keith thought it was a bit basic. I don't think he really listened to it properly. He was too close to it and just felt it was a silly kind of riff." Jagger has also pointed out that the title lyrics closely resemble a line from Chuck Berry's "30 Days". (Berry's lyric is "If I don't get no satisfaction from the judge".) As Janie so quickly and accurately said, the answer is the range. Rifles used in deer hunting fire bullets that can go several miles, though they would have to be aimed upward a lot farther than would be normal. Shotguns, when used for deer hunting, generally fire a bigger and slower projectile called a slug. See numbers 39 and 40 in the picture. Well, the most requested song, according to ASCAP is "The Christmas Song" by Mel TormÃÂ© and Robert Wells. It was written in 1944. According to TormÃÂ©, the song was written during a blistering hot summer. In an effort to "stay cool by thinking cool", the most-performed (according to BMI) Christmas song was born. "I saw a spiral pad on his piano with four lines written in pencil", TormÃÂ© recalled. "They started, "Chestnuts roasting..., Jack Frost nipping..., Yuletide carols..., Folks dressed up like Eskimos.' Bob (Wells, co-writer) didn't think he was writing a song lyric. He said he thought if he could immerse himself in winter he could cool off. Forty minutes later that song was written. "I wrote all the music and some of the lyrics." Talented guy - the clue for him were `fog` and `velvet``, in case knowing who wrote it would help. The Nat King Cole Trio first recorded the song early in 1946. At Cole's behest , and over the objections of his label, Capitol Records, a second recording was made the same year utilizing a small string section, this version becoming a massive hit on both the pop and R&B charts. Torme did not record the song till 1952, but did several after that date. I cannot (sob) find a link to the Shari Lewis bit, which was hilarious (the memory of a child, perhaps), but Lamb Chop told the story of Professor Chestnut, who went exploring in deepest, darkest Africa. When the Shari asked the puppet what became of him, Lamb Chop burst into song - Chestnut`s roasting on an open fire!! lol. Sorry. Now Cynthia! :) I can normally only get the easy ones so I have been happy this weekend. LOL!
I used to watch way more TV than now, so these have been fairly easy. The third one popped into my head right away but I started second guessing myself and finally decided to ask DH just to confim before I posted.
Now I have only a few programs that I watch so if questions ever come for recent shows then I will be stuck unless they are from my very short list. :)

I am including myself, gg! Grew up along with tv-watched all those cowboy shows with my dad and my husband and cousin can sing everyone of those theme songs. Too funny. I remember watching the test pattern waiting for Mighty Mouse to come on-my father made me go back to bed-seems it was still the wee hours of the morning. :)

Nowadays, we also only watch a few. I was sorry they cancelled "Law and Order"-that was one I did like!

Completely forgot about the Mr. Magoo connection until you mentioned it, Nancy and Annette. Loved that, too. So silly.

Oh, I know that one Annette. I am not sure I've seen the show, but I really love the song (and I do have some paperback books related to the show).

I'm happy to be back in northern Michigan this morning, where the temps are nice and cool and I can get some much-needed outdoor chores done.

It looks like most of you used to watch the same shows I did. Of course, it's not like we had a lot of different choices back then. Four channels was it for me on the best days.

No one has specifically listed the shows yet so here they are, just in case there is any doubt in anyone's mind.

Morning all, thanks for the stars TM. No it wasn't the Thin Man it was Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer. The show only ran for a short time. Harlem Nocturne is favorite of mine especially when featuring a sexy sax. I'm pretty sure GGG and Cyn guessed it, good going gals.

Oooh, Annette - I love that song too. I was thinking further back....It was in B&W, I think. If we can think of the name of it - LOL - who played the secretary?? You only ever saw her 'gams' and heard her sexy voice!! There you go - Monday Trivia!!

Nancy, you were probably thinking of the earlier Mike Hammer series starring Darren McGavin in B&W. In the later Mike Hammer Tanya Roberts played the part of Velda at first but was replaced by Lindsay Bloom. I don't know who played Velda in the earlier one.
