need your help...NOW!

My friend has a rash on her face and is almost positive

that it came from working with her brugs. She's seen the

Doc and it's still quite persistent. Has anyone had a

rash from these beauties? If so....what works???? I'LL

appreciate your help.

Margaret never had one. Only thing I could say is to make sure not to get in touch with it in the future and just ride it out. Hopefully it will go away just like the eye thing when we get it into the eyes!?

Cazn 't imagine it is from the Brugs. There is something else going on.
How long has your friend been working with brugs?

Is it possible to put the spout and levers on to the half wall of the shower? Maybe you could build it up enough to have them coming out of the wall directly over the tub. Not sure where your plumbing access is though and if drain is on other end maybe you could mount them on that wall?

Dont load too much product into the hopper at first and get under the mantel. You are going to want to get as perpindicular to the surface as possible which means a heavy angle of the gun/hopper under the mantle. Then load up and do your inside and outside corners and the area under the tv frame (header). Lastly spray the open surface areas again as perpindicular as possible. I've found on inside and outside corners, short, repititous pulls of the trigger work better than trying to hurry and keeping the trigger pinned. Dont panic and take your time. Because it's a knockdown, you will be allowing for the sprayed area to skin a little before you knock down. On this project being as small as it is, there is no reason why you cant spray it all at once w/ plenty of time to allow skinning before the wipe down. If you dont feel confident to do it all at once, then do your inside/outside/under mantle and above the tv. Then come back and do the large, open areas, but again, no worries doing it all at one spraying. Take a scrap piece of wall board to get the size and pattern desired. Tape and plastic well and tight. The pressure from the gun will release air when not triggering and can undo your covering of areas that you dont want sprayed. Take your time and go wide everywhere you want protection. If you have help, have them clean the gun asap after the spray. If flying solo, have a 5 gallon bucket of water handy and drop the gun in there while you knock down. The hopper cleans up pretty easy even if the product has dried on a little, but you should take care w/ the gun.

Thanks for compliments on selections! The slab is calacatta brasilioro from Brazil. The finish is leather I'm definitely getting that fixture in brass, just not sure on size. The fixture in our last house was 24" round. So I think the 30x15 will be fine?? I just keep thinking that the extra 200 is a faucet for the hall bath etc. I'm trying to reign things in a bit. New floors for the house really busted the budget. So I'm penny pinching now. I'm waiting on the formal dining fixture because is rather not have anything in there than have something I don't love. Anyway, I took some pics of the kitchen in its current state to give you a better idea of the room I could cry when I see the jungle growing outside the window. I don't know how I'm going to find the energy to get the landscaping under control until we can relandscape in the Spring. Husband making me wait until then. : /

If it were from brugs I assume she would have a rush on her hands too not only on her face.

Never heard of a rash from brugs only the eye dilation...Hmm...Interesting.

Hope she gets better soon!!!

It could be from the brugs. I think we have all heard and read the warnings about it being poisonous and an irritant. Not everyone will be affected by it. Tell her to put calamine lotion on the rash and see if that helps. As for rash on her face and not her hands, the face is more delicate. From experience, if I try on a new face cream, I can break out in a rash on my face, but not my hands that I used to apply the cream.

If it was a contact dermatitis from the brugs she'd have it on her hands. I agree with the others that it's from something else. I'd go to a dermatologist if she's only been to her GP. You don't want to risk something scarring your face.

Facial skin is more sensitive than hand skin so I suppose she 'could' have a rash there and not on her hands from her Brugs but it would have to be a contact reaction, not a systemic one.It is the alkaloids in the Brugs that cause the rash for some people.

I caught a really funky fungal thing several years ago from being outdoors. Sometimes a biopsy is needed to figure out the culprit.

I have really sensitive skin and have had the eyes dilated and contact dermatitis briefly on my hands after cutting all the leaves of every brug I had all in one day but not anywhere else. It was from snapping of leaves with my hands and doing so many at once. I am not bothered by messing with a few. It has to be a lot. I think unless she rubbed juice all over her face it is something else. Perhaps a shampoo or soap or face product. Maybe even a new medication?
